Three most underrated things about Mariano: 1. Dribbling. He's got quick feet and a surprising amount of trickery. 2. Long shots. His shooting technique is very crisp, and with the muscle he put on, he's got even more force behind it now. 3. Jumping ability. I noticed he has a phenomenal vertical leap. Extremely dangerous at crosses. Disagree with people saying '7 is just a number'. Its not. But Mariano will be worthy of it.

Exactly why we need him. We lost a player who was blind to everything but goals. Who had a unmeasured hunger for perfection. Mariano emulates this drive. No he will not be Cristiano, but he is hungry, driven and has proven even with little minutes he can score at this club. Witha bigger role I expect big things.
I'm very happy to see Mariano back in the team. I was upset when we sold him, but amendments have been made. I went back and looked at all 21 of his goals at Lyon, and I have to say how pleased I am to see his skills develop.
