I just think he should not be allowed to buy players, that's the sporting directors job. So get rid of Marcelo and co.
Good players should play in Velencia and Sevilla.. great players should play for RM Even leaving him as a bench option I think we should do better...compared to other teams’ bench - Barca has players like Malcom, City has Mahrez, Sane, Lucas M at Spurs - we would be lacking quality. And people should not underestimate the importance of depth because there would always be injuries and in most seasons some of these players are required to step up in important matches.
Solari V Zidane this season at Real Madrid: •Solari: Wins=22 Draw=2 Loss=8 Win %=68.75 •Zidane: Wins=5 Draw=2 Loss=3 Win %=50
Perfect example of why statistics are 1000% accurate. Zidane is a horrible coach and Solari is brilliant. Obviously we have made a huge error amd Solari will be off to manage Machester or barca next season.
For someone without any real club level experience and given the players we had, Solari wasn’t actually that bad in comparison coming in after that 5-1 trashing we received in Barcelona Didn’t he also break the record for best start by any manager in the club?
Solari had a healthy Vinicius who was our best attacker in wins against Atletico and Ajax. He also had bad losses like Girona at home. CSKA thrashing at home.
Too deep. I realy dont care about results after Zidane came this year. Team collapsed, zero motivation to fight for something. Yes, for the club, pride and so on, still hard when 6-8 games left just for fun.
Yeah. TC actually made a few blunders there costing two goals. But Solari should have started Vini.. Asensio as usual was useless in that game.
I still refuse to look back at things that cannot be changed, I am looking forward to the new season, to the changes in the team ( hopefully) and then i’ll judge based on how we do then
I agree, brother. Zidane has free reign to do as he pleases. He has probably been given more freedom than even Mourinho himself. So if things don't work out, they're to blame equally.
Marca reporting that Pintus might leave for Inter after some disagreements with Zidane. Apparently Zidane doesn't want him here anymore. They said that Zidane isn't happy that Pintus stayed with the club after he left. It sounds like bullshit... but Zizou does seem to hold grudges .
You mentioned this guy very often and honestly, what about him? One league goal, two goals in the cup, dude is playing like Asensio at his worst form and you're namedropping him like crazy. Don't tell me that "you have to watch the games to understand it" because the guy is very very average from every angle.
Considering the amount of injuries we've had, I'm glad Zidane is someone who seems to hold grudges haha!
Would this revolution have happened with any other manager at the helm? Would Florentino have trusted others with this much capital? I think not. Thank you Zizou
Well those statistics are accurate, very basic, but accurate. And based off of them, yes, Solari was the better coach of Real Madrid last season just like Benzema was the best player (statistically). You can complain all you want that Benzema didn't show up when it counted but Solari still had a better win percentage than Zidane and out of the three coaches was Real Madrid's best coach last season.
Even Lopetegui was twice the coach Solari was for us. JL was absolutely not lucky and when you don't win for a while (even though it wasn't your fault at that stage), things can collapse from every corner and even the smallest mistakes can cause things to explode. I am not saying that he should have stayed because there was an urgent need for a change, but maaaaan ... Solari just didn't have it in him. He benefited from the momentum of change (same thing happened with United when Mou was fired), but nothing else. I still think Zidane isn't the most brilliant coach out there, he lacks a lot (or at least relatively when compared to other great managers/coaches) when it comes to experience/tactical knowledge and for the most part, his Madrid side in 3 years didn't play the sexiest football Madrid saw. However, he does have that X factor in him that compensated for those deficiencies. Solari? not this .. not that. He was just the wrong guy for the wrong job in the worst time possible.
