Get that Juve managed to bring in Ronaldo for a massive cash fee last summer, but it's doubtful they'd be able to rustle up 130 to 150mil it would cost to get Pogba. Which means they'd want to dump their surplus to us. The players I'd be real interested in are: Bernadeschi, Kean and perhaps Bentancur and there's no way they'd give any of them up.
The players that apparently could be in play are: Cancelo, Dybala and Costa. Wouldn't mind Cancelo (but you have to wonder why they're ready to dump him after just one season). Dybala is not what we need and Douglas Costa would have been a great acquisition a while back, but we'd need more for Pogba at this point.
End of the day, that smells like one of Raiola's tricks, maybe to push Real into action or making it clear to United that they are pursuing every option out there. Either way something is rotten in Denmark here and I'm not buying it.

    Madrid have signed Jovic

If they also sign Hazard as expected, that likely means no move for Pogba

He was also by and far our most wasteful midfielder, and one of the most wasteful in the PL.

No other midfield player was dispossessed and caught dribbling on the ball as much as Pogba in the entire PL.

    He was dispossessed 89 times.

Matic, Fred, Herrera, McT, and Pereira combined were only dispossessed 86 times.

Pogba also had a lower pass success rate than all of the above except Pereira.

Pogba will never again be worth as much as he is worth this summer. Selling him now for 130-150 would be fantastic business by the club. The way I see it, Madrid made off like bandits only paying 80m for Ronnie...this would be payback.

Messi is an attacker not a midfielder. He should have a higher percent of misplaced passes because he's making higher risk passes with less time on the ball.

Nothing excuses Pogba's lazy and sloppy play getting caught in possession. 89 times is absolutely absurd.

That's exactly the same reason why Pogba's pass stats arent as high. He is the only creative player in our team.

Pogba is absolutely judged differently. If you put his body of work on any relatively inexpensive English player they would say hes the second coming of Jesus. Its because of his fee, the team he plays for, his social presence, and again his fee that hes judged the way he is.

Does that mean hes lived up to expectations? No. But he's also been surrounded by crap in crap systems. Does that excuse the lack of effort he gives some games? No, but hes been asked to do more than any other midfielder in football for 3 years now.

He barely had more assists than Marcus Rashford.

He wasn't our only creative player. He created the same number of big chances as Rashford, only had three more assists. The only reason he scored more goals is because of the volume of penalties we scored this past year.

    His xA90 is 0.15

    Martial had 0.18.
    Rashford had 0.20.
    Lingard had 0.17.
    Mata? Yeah 0.26.
    Sanchez? Lmao. 0.36.
Shawsy? He equalled PP with 0.15.
ASHLEY YOUNG??? 0.14... Nearly as much as WC PP...

He literally had less accumulated xA than Rashford for the entire season... Despite playing much more.

People need to stop making excuses for this underperforming dumpster fire that's burning.

Edit: De Bruyne only played 19 games and created more big chances than Pogba. Come on. I really can't wait for time to vindicate my stance on PP.

No offense mate, but your stance on Pogba will NEVER be vindicated. Whether he is finally surrounded with worthwhile talent at United, or whether he leaves for Real or Juve, his production will surely increase in kind.
That campaign you have in trying to 'expose' him as an average or poor player, despite everything he's done and won since he's been at youth level, whether it's in club or international play, is so obvious in it's bias and completely ridiculous to boot

Can you explain why it's okay for him to be dispossessed more than all our other CM players combined?

Please post a link to those stats.

Pogba would have had more assist if Rashford could finish. I guess you easily forget all the chances from even simple balls over the top.

If what you said were true, then his xA would be significantly higher than it is.

Rashford missed a lot of chances. But not a lot of PP provided chances.

Because the all the other CM's dont try and create.

Herrera can pass, but he doesnt try and force the issue.

Fred is weird because he played as the deepest midfielder before he was dropped at the end of the season.

    Matic is trash.

Mctominay doesnt try anything elaborate. Keeps his play simple. Doesnt try to advance the ball either.

    Andreas doesnt play much.

We can also point to, for instance in his first season back with us, how he reasonably should have clocked a combined 10 more goals and assists, if it weren't for all the chances he personally had that hit the post or the bar or if Zlatan alone was even more accurate in his finishing that season as well.
