Sorry, Im usually a big enforcer of this type of stuff. I just dont want a pink team, I just meant to say that. Sorry everyone, I wont cross the line again.
Honestly I kind of love a pink jersey. People love hating the Red Sox now that they are winning and selling pink hats/jerseys, but it's recognizable and it brings a women fan base. Anything that brings interest/supporters is a positive.
Palermo FC in Italy has pink uniforms. But I don't think pink works here. Its a warm color for a place like Miami or some place more tropical. Then again, global warming and all..
New here but the initial thread topic is one that interests me. If you'd indulge me I'd like to throw my two cents in even if the thread may have gone in another direction. I've always loved, obviously, the idea of the Revs moving into Boston and being renamed, "Boston Independent FC". Has the British style of name but is completely unique as far as I can tell. What do you think?
I dont, bay state sc sounds alot better, but lets be honest they should put the team in NH, and go with Granite state sc.
Sure, NH would be fine for an NASL or APSL team, but not in MLS. What ever happened to the NH Phantoms, anyway? If they are going to have a team there, they should put in in a city other than Concord or Nashua and name them either City or United and see how long it would take the lawyers to argue that "no reasonable person would ever confuse the two."
Ok, here are a couple more, and again either FC or SC works with me Boston Atlantic Boston Rovers Boston Wanderers Boston Rangers ( im a little iffy on this one)
Rovers and Wanderers are really names for teams without homes, right? I mean, it's a pretty strange moniker for a team that's played in 2 stadiums, both sharing a parking lot.
Heres some more: AS Boston(Association of Soccer Boston) F/SC Boston 96 Eurosnob-ish I know, but I like them
Do we really need a European British sounding name? Sounders, Timbers, Galaxy, Fire, Earthquakes, Impact, etc don't sound european at all.
