They drew the home leg of the promotion playoff final against St. Mirren 0-0. Harkes went the distance. The road leg is Sunday at 10 eastern. In the video below, at :05 he plays a diagonal out wide from midfield leading to a play that ends with Harkes being played in, but his shot is blocked. At 1:29, now sporting a bandage on his head, he flicks a hard played pass off a turnover to an open player in the center of the field starting a counter.

The club's Twitter account was hacked half way through the match. Due to unforeseen circumstances our twitter account was hacked and we've had to make a new account, although this wasn't as big as a problem as our penalty skills— Dundee United FC (@DundeeUnitedF16) May 26, 2019 "F*** the pope"Dundee United Twitter account deleted after sectarian abuse posted by hackers 👇https://t.co/YweTjDwniN pic.twitter.com/1qH4yJcn1D— Scottish Sun Sport (@scotsunsport) May 26, 2019

Harkes ended up playing 53 minutes in a 2-1 road win against a 4th tier side in the Scottish League Cup group stage yesterday. He was an unused sub in the first game last Friday. During 2019 he played 949 minutes (13 games, 10 starts) in the Scottish Championship picking up 2 yellow cards. He also made 4 starts in the promotion playoffs (390 minutes) and played 200 minutes in the Scottish Cup (3 games, 2 starts) scoring a goal in the latter competition.

Interview: https://sbisoccer.com/2019/07/ameri...kes-aiming-to-take-next-step-at-dundee-united Now 24-years-old, Harkes may find it tougher to return to the USMNT with several younger players leading the way like Christian Pulisic, Weston McKennie, and Tyler Adams. Also with his grandparents’ Scottish heritage, Harkes won’t rule out the possibility of a move to the Scottish National Team if it’s something that becomes suitable.
Two things: 1) "return?" When was he there in the first place? 2) I don't think Weston McKennie is the reason Harkes won't make it with the national team. You're in the Scottish second division with a team that just lost, at home, to a third-division team in the League Cup. Playing for any national team above the level of Northeast Micronesia should be the absolute furthest thing from your thoughts.
"I'm focused on my club play right now. We have a big season ahead, hoping to push for promotion, and that's my focus." Dude sounds delusional talking about Scotland, as though that's a more realistic option or something.
We don't know what the questions were. We only see the answers. 1. How'd you enjoy your time with USMNT? 2. Have you heard anything from Greg Berhalter or his staff? 3. You've got a Scottish passport, would you think about ever representing Scotland? “1. It was a great experience to have that first National Team camp and, I tried to do the best I could at it,” Harkes said. “2. I haven’t heard from Gregg and his staff yet, but I’m hoping that if I can continue to play at a high level that maybe down the future I can get back in there. They have a lot of good players so it’s always going to be tough. 3. It’s always a dream of mine to represent the U.S., but the Scottish National Team is also a possibility with my heritage too.” Those seem like fairly innocuous answers to questions to me... Seems like you're going out of your way to dump on the guy... I fail to see the need for that..
