Just for my own knowledge, did we get rid of the rule where if you play in MLS and then transfer to a second league you still go to the big boy forum?
i believe that 2nd div is only valid if the league is top tier. So 2nd div SPL isn't 'worthy'. another question, this kid is what, 24 years old already? Wow...
Harkes played 90 minutes in Dundee United's 2-1 loss to Partick Thistle on the 9th, and is on the bench for their game today against Ross County. 1-0 to United early in the second half. There's live audio if anyone is interested:
1-0 final, Harkes DNP. Even with the win, United are still 8 points behind Ross County for the automatic promotion spot with 8 games to play, but they're now 6 points ahead of Ayr United (with 1 more game played) for the promotion semifinal berth.

Not very. Most South American leagues do, including Argentina, MLS obviously does, and nearly every European second division does. There's a Libertadores game featuring Cruzeiro tomorrow, and there have been Sudamericana games throughout the break.
Even Liga MX does on some occasions. German 2nd tier doesn't play during the break, but the 3.Liga does. Take a look at the daily scores pages on ESPNFC. Scroll past the international matches and you'll see many of the leagues that keep playing during the break.

First leg of the Scottish Premiership promotion semifinal. The second leg is on Friday. The winner advances to play the 11th-placed Premiership team (either Hamilton Academical or St Mirren) in a two-legged final.
And an early second half red card for Inverness gives United a huge chance to put this tie to bed in the first leg. Still 0-0.
Some advantage taken. FT: Inverness CT 0 - 1 Dundee United Harkes played 90 and was not involved in the goal.
