I really really want a feature that prohibits posting for one week after registration.

    Prohibit posting for one week after registration.

    Anyone who wants to participate, can read for one week.

    Anyone who is here because they just drank their 10th pint, and want to yell at "Yanks", cannot post.

    I'm with Kstuart...I'm sick of the Galaxy forum just existing so 12 year olds in England can sign up and post rediculous crap.

    The first few times it's kind of funny but it's out of control.

    Perhaps make is so you can't post in the Galaxy forum until you've been registered for at least a week?

    I'm also getting blind PM's from new users talking shit about MLS. It's a little out of control.

    I'm not sure what prohibit posting for one week will accomplish, other than to irritate the majority of decent posters to discourage a handful of irritating ones. Will the "irritating" ones become less so after a week?

    If LA is having problems with an influx of newbies, there are steps the moderators could take, such as approving all new threads before they become visible. Contact the LA mods to see if something like this might help.

    They will give up if you prohibit posting for one hour after registration, let alone one week.

    I've been posting in Forums for many years, and it never fails to surprise me how some people know exactly what I am talking about, while others don't see it. This is not concerning big, important issues, in fact, the more specific a fix I propose, the more opposition it engenders.

    Anyway, I was posting with specific evidence of "some people know exactly what I am talking about". There is a major Forum which I have been reading for years, and finally had something that I wanted to post about. So, I registered, hit "reply", and the result was:

    So, not only do those guys understand, but this also shows that no one would have to write any code, they just to click and turn on the feature.

    PS On that other forum, I've been reading it for years, so I'm happy to wait five days to post my comment...
