Would be nice if Oscar wants to take him to ASSE.

were they under scrutiny of some sort or is this a formal filtering process?

Same owner which isn't allowed in the UEFA competition within the same season. When two clubs with the same owner start in CL/EL only the higher placed one may start (in this case Salzburg). With a lot of trickery Red Bull made it seem like they don't directly control Salzburg anymore, thus this result. Will be interesting to see if there's any club appealing this decision within the next 10 days.

its been very depressing to have to follow Salzburg due to HHC. RB makes hoffenheim look quaint.

Marco Rose and his assistant, Rene Maric, are going to be the next big coaches in European football (a la Roger Schmidt). You can find the assistant's twitter here: https://twitter.com/ReneMaric. Red Bull's coaching and facilities are extremely innovating, and I would be fine with HHC staying another couple seasons to develop under these coaches as long as he continues to get playing time.

Also, I have said it before, and I will say it again. There are so many great coaches on twitter that would be so so good for the KNT!! Our best hope for the 2018 WC was keeping Stielike on board while hiring one of the dudes who write for Spierverlagurgn, just look at where some of these guys are now... Many have been hired as analysts and scouts for Premier league clubs (Tom Payne and Judah Davies) and one is an assistant manager at a Champions League club (the aforementioned Rene Maric). This new wave of young coaches understand football tactics far more than the likes of STY!!

Who are some of the people you think are good fit for KNT?

That takes me back. Rene Maric was the most prolific (and my favorite) writer on spielverlagerung.de, a great site discussing football tactics (spielverlagerung.com has some English translations of his pieces). He stopped writing when he joined Marco Rose as assistant 1 1/2 years ago.

Wouldn't hurt him to learn some tactics under those experts. Maybe they can also tell him to work on his shooting ;)

If true then what a waste of talent.

But I'm pretty sure this is false.
    - He wouldn't have switched agents just to move to China which he could have done with his previous agent.
    - Most Chinese clubs are not really interested in getting foreigners right now with the new tax rule on foreigners. (Incoming players to the CSL are 100% taxed)
    - The only club that would even bother bringing in Korean players right now is Park Tae-ha's Yanbian Funde, but they are negotiating with a forward from Jeju United right now.

sad if true, but I don't see why he wants to move to China at a young age.

Yeah, that team is in the mist of getting relegated. Why would he want to risk it to play in the Chinese second division?

Redbull Salzburg has a chance of playing in the Champions League/Europa League. I don't really see any incentive for him to go there career wise.

But it's his life and he can do what do he wants.
