If I didn't live 4 hours away I would have gone. Uncool the comment about basing the amount you care on whether or not you showed up Junior21.
maybe so. but in any case i don't think his absence indicates a lack of support for the club. i know one (fairly prominent) fan who did go because he is sick of the bickering. i can think of a few others who weren't there, does that make them bad fans?
Considering I am leaving my wife to care for our daughter while I attend the KC game AND the West Ham game, I needed to stay home last night instead of attended the forum. I fully understand this makes me a terrible fan that deserves to be punished. I believe I ought to be tarred and streamered.* *Please refrain from applying streamers in the general direction of any CCS security.
No, I was just joking around because I don't think Junior21 thinks Crewfighter doesn't care, but I'm guessing he didn't make it because, like bradd, he lives hours away. Either I just suck, or some people really need a funny bone transplant.
Sorry, but that was not how the forum was originally advertised. Had I known that it was a formal forum with team officials and players I might have showed. The idea of listening to a bunch of fans bashing each other held little interest for me. You really need to stay away from the hyperbole most of the older fans on the forums are quite put off by it.
Glad to see the forum went so well. Sorry I couldn't make it (Boss won't let me get off work early two days in one week and I chose the match Thursday instead of the Supporters Forum.) See you guys Thursday!
Basically Sigi, Frankie, GBS, Moreno and Danny O all talked to the supporters groups about how important we are to the atmosphere and that we need to stick together because we are all crew fans. At the end they gave everyone free tickets and gave people multiple tickets if they promised to guarantee the tickets would be used to fill the Nordecke
There apparently is another endless source of neg rep floating around these boards. Seems we have a specialist afoot, from what I have heard and observed.
Sigi, Alejandro, Guille, Danny O and (humorously late arriving) Frankie spoke about how they appreciate the support. Danny O got called emo by Alejandro and Fankie said his hair was bad, Danny then just wanted to "hug it out", great stuff. Guille spoke mostly in spanish and spoke a few words in english before Carvacho translated the rest. Sigi talked about growing up in Germany, his experiences going to games there as a kid and how awesome the atmosphere was. There was deffinately some talking about diversity and togetherness throughout, but not to the extent of let's sit around and sing koom by ya. After Sigi and the players spoke they took questions. Pumba went on some long winded appology to La Turbina that sounded like some guy that didn't know why his girlfriend was leaving him and trying to get her back. That was the only akward moment of the night as you can tell he was very out of the loop. It'd be like me appoligizing to Dante (who was also there) for the NE incident and asking him to come back to the broadcast booth which he never left. Someother people will probably have stuff to add and I know Studio79 was there taking some pics that we'll get up soon, but just wanted to give a brief summery.
Yea that was akward when that guy was saying that stuff. I had my camera, but my camera ran out of batteries in the parking lot The tickets made up for it tho
You would have been instantly vaulted to near the top of Crew fandom had you been able to produce video of that. Holy crap, that would have been awesome.
I cant tell if youre being sarcastic, but i dont see what your problem is. I just wanted to be able to take some pictures of the players and get some pictures of inside The CCS. Im not trying to "Vault to the top of Crew Fandom"
Oh for Christ sake, lighten up. It was a joke. Maybe what we need most is for some people to stop taking themselves so seriously.
This is not just in this thread. There is a pervasive crabbiness and bitchiness running through A LOT of threads these days. The heat and humidity? Are our cycles finally aligned? Or does being 2nd in MLS at the halfway point mean that the inner anger we're normally able to direct towards the players/coaches/FO for being so ************ have to find a new place to go?
We are the first team to climb to the pinnacle of Mt. Emo-kaka with the aid of several dysfunction Sherpas. What the hell is going on? The lunatics are running the asylum. On the upside, it makes for a compelling read.
pshaw... and you call yourself a "real Crew fan"? A real fan would have gone to the supporter's forum instead.
