I suspect VVD will be fit to play, but I'd go with that lineup otherwise.

I'd guess Mane could be on the bench if needed. Origi and Lallana possibilities.

Lallana will definitely be on the bench - he's been ready since before the break. He may even push for a start. No need to do anything apart from attack against Huddersfield. With Henderson and Fabinho you have a bit of redundancy in the defensive minded mids.

Exactly. If we can’t get the points with our backup attack, I’d be a bit concerned.

surely by now you must realize that zaq's main interest in coming here is to spout jis semi-articulate pseudo-intellectual opinions (commonly known as "BS") on ANY subject other than football, as long as someone's crazy enough to engage him in such a debate?

All the talk about the tough schedule meets its reckoning. To win the league or be thereabouts, these are the types of the games we ought to be winning. So three points, please.

Take it to them, and end it as a contest early. After the international break, there should be no complacency. 3 goals and a clean sheet would do nicely.

Very interesting team selection. Huge opportunities for Sturridge, Lallana, and Shaquiri. Looks like the players who stayed behind during the international break were favored.

I don't like that Lovren has taken Trent's place in the team. Gomez was brilliant at centerback, and is much less of an attacking threat at right back. It weakens us at two positions in my opinion. I don't think that Lovren is a player who should just walk back into a winning team just because he is fit again.

I see it more as giving Trent more time off than Lovren automatically stepping back in.

Yep, big opportunities for Lallan, Shaq and Studge.

Interesting to see Origi on the bench too.

man oh man, Millie's leg could fall off and he'd be available for the next game. :)

We need goals, no letting up. The goal difference with City is now 11.

I'm a bit surprised to see Lallana starting today, I thought we may see him coming off the bench but obviously he's shown Klopp something in training so lets hope he can do similar today.
I'm also hoping Studge can build on his good early form with another strong game today. This new front three set up is likely going to face a Huddersfield side sitting deep for much of this one so we need them to click out there.
