    Well, in my opinion one of the problems with the Norwegian NT and youth development, is that they just keep replacing one Norwegian coach with the next Norwegian coach, both at senior and U-21 NT level ... so you really get nothing new and no new development, but just much more of the same, also considering the small pool of top coaches ... the last foreign NT coach was Swedish Tord Grip back in 1988 ... and he was only in charge for 7 games before he was gone ..,.

    If we look at the Norwegian U21's, then they reached the U21 Euro Semifinals back in 2013, then missed the U21 Euro in 2015 but have reached the play-off's for the U21 Euro in 2017 ... which is actually just as good as how the Netherlands have done in the same period of time ... so they are still in top 20 among the youth NT's in Europe ... Though Sweden and Denmark are doing much better at U21 level :
