Need to get Donovan and Osman closer together. No surprise that the only good moment came when they were both involved.

"he's not that type of player."

"why would he want to go down?"

a big decision is not a PK, but just a corner earned in the 44th min.

When Jags was out? They were probably playing a bit careful until they were back to 11.

Looked like a dive, although a slight touch could have pushed him down.

Nice layoff by the guy with the funny name, landon is on in the 18, gets clipped from behind and goes down. No call.

That ball was too far in front of him, he went down easy.

Was very prepared for a Donovan goal there... Shamefully bad non-call.

um, where, Dubai, Doha, Kuwait, Saudi?

Anyhoo but back to the match, is it just me or is the crowd a little subdued at Goodison? I'm having a bit of a problem because I'm flicking back in forth between the Newcastle-Man U game and this one and the channel volume dynamics are totally different. The other game is just blasting and this channel pretty quiet.

... oh great save from Howard off of N'Gog....

No, it was after a defender made a clearance from the 18 yard box.

Would have been a soft PK. I agree with ref.

From the one angle you could see Ricketts stepped on his foot. It was subtle, but a bad non-call by the ref.

Quality first half from Donovan. Plenty of good touches and LOTS of great runs down the right flank. His teammates aren't used to him making those runs and aren't getting him the ball, though the windy conditions may have something to do with that as well.

He dove. Announcers really tying themselves in knots to not call it a dive... these guys really really like Donovan.
