The bad news about Zidane is he will keep Benzema probably. SAD. Messi alone will score more than Vini-Benzema-Lucas put together, and we all know this is no joke lol.

Maybe a more grown up Vinicious and a big Signing like Mbappe can cover for Benzemas goal droughts... damn also Bezema will be 32 next season. I dont think that will help him be better! I need to improve my best season ever list to show how Benzema was never among the best strikers ever... not even close. Only currently active players..

    BEST SEASON EVER | GOALS+APPS = RATIO
    • Suarez - 59 (53) = 1.11
    • Ibrahimovic - 50 (51) = 0.98
    • Cavani - 49 (50) = 0.98
    • Lewandoski - 43 (47) = 0.91
    • Falcao - 38 (44) = 0.86
    • Aubameyand - 40 (46) = 0.86
    • Kane - 41 (48) = 0.85
    • Rooney - 34 (44) = 0.77
    • Villa - 31 (43) = 0.72
    • Torres - 33 (46) = 0.71
    • Benzema - 32 (52) = 0.61 :eek::confused:

    Man this guy is bad.

    Just for fun Ronaldo 61 (54) = 1.12 lol

Pretty bullshit comparison when you consider that he was literally Cristianos sidekick and never took any penalties. In hindsight, i am very happy with how Benzema turned out for us being a very valuable player during the era in which we made history.

There's obviously better strikers than him out there but overall he did good for us.

Hilarious that people are genuinely unhappy on Benzema who's been one of Europe's best forwards this season and comfortably Real Madrid's best player. Already scored 22 goals in all comps, which is more compared to than likes of Luis Suárez, Firmino, Griezmann, Salah etc. He may get close to 30 goals, which shouldn't be an impossible task with 11 games left.

Benzema has definitely taken penalties, although it's less than handful since Cristiano and now Sergio Ramos have been Real Madrid's main PK-taker. I'd also include that Benzema didn't take free-kicks.

Also, what's more important is that Benzema (unlike others in that list) was never the primarily scorers during all of his previous seasons and had to share playing time with others during Mourinho-era. And when Benzema became an undisputed starter, he was a 3rd fiddle behind Cristiano/Bale in Real Madrid's attacking line.

That being said, Benzema is one of the greatest players ever for Real Madrid when everything is taken into account. Currently 6th highest scorer in the club's history with a better ratio than likes of Raúl and others.

I don't think it's appropriate to compare Benzema with the likes of Lewy/Suárez/Zlatan etc. since he was never really an out-and-out #9. Even he himself has said that (which was only a confirmation of what most people already knew).

Not really. That word is more appropriate for Sergio Ramos, Varane, Modric, Kroos, Bale and others given to what they've shown this season.

Lewandowski has a 30 goal per season guarantee and if you talk to Bayern fans today he's trash apparently.

They never questioned Lewy for being an amazing goalscorer. They are complaining on Lewy rarely showing up in UCL KO-stage against big teams.

    Absolutely.

Ronaldos sidekick LMAO!! I guess he still is? Because he isn't doing very well.

1 [IMG] Lionel Messi Barcelona 26
2 [IMG] Luis Suárez Barcelona 17
3 [IMG] Cristhian Stuani Girona 16
4 [IMG] Wissam Ben Yedder Sevilla 15

Not among the best strikers in La Liga. Or Champions league.

    1 Lionel Messi 8
    1. Robert Lewandowski
    3. Moussa Marega 6
    3. Dušan Tadić

I guess he is still Ronaldos sidekick. Well sorry to tell you but in football nobody is anyones sidekick, Benzema is just a bad goal scorer who will never be pichichi or golden ball or anything. Lets continue my list of how bad he is.

    BEST SEASON EVER | GOALS+APPS = RATIO
    1. Suarez - 59 (53) = 1.11
    2. Ibrahimovic - 50 (51) = 0.98

    4. Lewandoski - 43 (47) = 0.91
    5. Higuain - 38 (42) = 0.90
    6. Immobile - 41 (47) = 0.87
    7. Falcao - 38 (44) = 0.86
    8. Aubameyang - 40 (46) = 0.86
    9. Kane - 41 (48) = 0.85
    10. Lacazette - 37 (45) = 0.82
    11. Icardi - 29 (36) = 0.80
    12. Van Persie - 37 (48) = 0.77
    13. Rooney - 34 (44) = 0.77
    14. Aguero - 33 (45) = 0.73

If Benzems took the penalties he'd be at least top three in La Liga and CL.

This all while being forced to work with Gareth Bale and Lucas. He only got Vinicius for one and a quarter CL matches and two months of La Liga.

Give me Immobile. Who cares if he flopped at Sevilla and Dortmund. :D :ROFLMAO:6th best season ever for a team built around him. Benz is one of the leading scorers in CL history without taking penalties at RM. Says it all. Benz also has stats like 21 goals in 26 starts(11/12), 24 goals in 26 starts(15/16) in La Liga without taking penalties. If he took all the pens Ramos took this season, he'd be close to 30 goals in all competitions already.

Point being is we need a striker. Regardless. We can pair him and Benzema upfront with Hazard and Vin wide plus double pivot. Release the Kraken!

well, it comes with bringing Zidane back. Benzema is here to stay and he wants to play as a striker (like he did this year), we will not buy any striker, at least not anything significant to bench Benz.
hopefully, we a more stable midfield next season (no idea how), we will see he less and less going back to the middle of the pitch and starting plays that are can be very productive but have zero effect since no one else is in the box.
if he "declare" that is back to being the support forward he was with Ronaldo, then we can bring a pure 9.

This only proves what we have been saying all along, he's a top 20 striker when in form.

But when did you ever hear the President or manager of the club ever come out and say that he was the best striker in the world. That would be an absurd statement to make, no sane person would try to make that argument.

No one is arguing the fact we need an addition. We're just trying to stamp out this terrible narrative.

We need starter quality striker. If Benzema is as peachy as some people say i am sure he will have zero problem of battling it out. In either case performances profit from it. Win Win situation.

It’s as simple as this for me too, he needs to be forced to compete for his spot, like we are demanding from every other player on the team as much as is possible in the new season

Iniesta finished a season with 1 assist and 0 goals, one of the greatest midfielders I have seen these last 10 years. He did a lot more in pre-building up than in third fase. Benzema has done a lot more for us footballing wise than half that list put together. He used to play a lot deeper with Ronnie in our team, linking up with our midfielders and drawing CB's with him which left space in the center for Ronaldo to exploit. Muller? Immobile? lmao. not even worth mentioning in the same sentence as Karim.

Miss me on this if the plan is to get some guy in his prime that is the same level as Benzema or lower for some huge fee.

If the plan is a long term target of Mbappe, get us an older striker with a different skill set (poacher, predator).

If the plan is not Mbappe, decide whether which project is more appealing; Jovic, Felix or some other young option.

I'm his biggest hater and even I admit that his scoring record is not exactly terrible. On paper it is pretty decent and I'm sure if you were to add up all his goals and assist since he has been at this club, he'll have better than a 1 in every 2 ratio.

His main problem is he is, for the most part, not good enough for Real Madrid. Simple as.
