2008: Deserved it 2013: 50/50. Closest one. Depends which timeframe you look at. Would probably vote for Messi, but it's not robbery that Ronaldo won it 2014: Would vote him over Messi at least. Don't think there was anyone else better 2016: Probably not. Won so many team trophies though so it was understandable that CR won, but overall this might be his weakest BD year. It wasn't Messi's best year either though 2017: Better than 2016. Depends on how much you value the CL KO stage and how you factor in the favorable calls vs Bayern 2018: Would vote for him over Modric. Probably not over Messi, but it's close Really strong in 2012, but so was Messi. 2007 might be worth looking at. Don't think Kaka was all that great over the whole year.
