Woo, so much discussions about Germans having the class to play for Spain. Why not the other way round? - Joselu, new signing of Hoffenheim, is quoted on their homepage, that becoming a German citizen and playing for the German NT is his potential goal:

„Ich habe mich bewusst für Deutschland entschieden, da ich mich hier unbedingt durchsetzen möchte. Mein Wunsch ist es, die deutsche Nationalität annehmen zu können und letztendlich vielleicht sogar für den DFB spielen zu dürfen. Aber das ist erst der zweite Schritt, der erste ist, hier Fuß zu fassen und der Mannschaft zu helfen.“

The 22 years old became last season top scorer with 26 goals for Real Madrid Castilla (reserve team of Real Madrid) and helped them a lot getting promoted to Liga Adelante.

He is born in Stuttgart, so why does not he have the German citizenship already?

Eh, if Khedira had grown up Spanish and was integrated into the team, he would start over Busquets.

I think the world of Khedira but Busquets is the best player in his position I think I have seen.

He is simply an incredible reader of the game and more importantly his technique and overall football IQ is on the level of Xavi and Iniesta. Nobody plays better one touch football than Busquets. In addition he has the ability to play in midfield and drop into a back three.

Not a chance. busquets is by far the best at what he does, especially in that system. 23 years old and has more trophies than 99% of players.
