Yes I know that Atlanta and Seattle both draw VERY well in their stadiums, but technically they are not SSS. Awesome compilation. One minor Quibble: The Philadelphia Union own and operate USL's Bethlehem Steel FC. Also, maybe we should add columns for Training Facilities, Academies, and Schools (LAG, PHL operate High Schools and RSL will soon operate one as well). Also I believe that Houston (or is it FC Dallas?) & San Jose operate the soccer side of things for RGVFC and Reno FC in the USL. It's amazing to see just how MLS has come in its' short life. Even more impressive is how much of this has happened in the just the past 8-10 years!
Box goals do look a little more professional than the portable goals that MLS used in the early days. But as long as the goal has the right dimensions, and the posts and crossbar are approximately the same thickness, it shouldn't affect the game, and shouldn't be a deal-breaker.
According to the Laws of the Game, the goalposts and crossbar must be exactly the same width (or depth, if you prefer) as the end line.
Montreal shuttered Impact 2 prior to the 2017 season. Whitecaps 2 and Orlando City B were shuttered this off season.
Oh those old school Kwik Goal goals where the ball would rebound against the back frame and bounce right out. The style of goal doesn't affect play, but the box goals make it more aesthetically pleasing, for what that's worth.
