LOL, only to lose. If the trend holds correct, we advance, then advance, then lose (most likely to Brosil) 1/4 final. Only Prandelli can ******** up the trend now.
It is dependent upon reaching the semi's and against Argentina. We may end up on the opposite side of the bracket from Argentina. We will find out in a week.
Today's loss was a massive blow. It means if -- if -- Italy qualify, Colombia awaits, and then -- if -- if -- they win that one, Brazil ...
We're not beating Uruguay, especially by 3 goals. The only way we meet Arg in the WC now is either in the final or Semi if they finish 2nd in the group. I predicted a Semi against them if Italy won the group.
we got no chance. Wont make it out of the group. Even if we somehow managed to get past Colombia which is a massive massive if, no way in hell we are getting past Brazil. No chance. Even if we played good we'd go out on penalties. Suarez will tare us apart.
If this World Cup has taught us anything, it's that anything can happen. Respect for all, fear for none!
With Italy it is always of matter of getting out of the group. After that, we are always good. Regardless of the Costa Rica match (we have had that sort of letdown many times before!) I like our chances IF we just survive the group.
The thing I hate most about some Italian fans is some of the comments like "Uruguay will kill us" and "we have no chance". We are Italia, cazzo. Four time World Cup champions and feared by real experts around the world. There is no way Uruguay does not expect an extremely difficult match. Whether we go out or not, I would never use the word "fear" to describe Italy's chances against any team on Earth. We have the talent to go far, and need to find the right motivation (which we usually do in these types of matches) and tactics. Italian players typically "step up" in exactly these situations.
If Italy goes through and ends up second in the group, Brazil is on their list of eventual opponents.
You must be young and forgotten Korea 2002. On an even playing field, Brazil will lose to both Netherlands and Chil, but when Byron Moreno is magically reinstated and officiates that round of 16 match with Sepp Blatter wearing a Neymar shirt in the stands…remember this post .
