So guys, what's the answer to filling all the empty seats in our stadium? I have to catch all the games on TV because I'm in Los Angeles, but I always see so many empty seats, and that's sad especially with the season the Dynamo are having. It's not like the stadium is anywhere near as big as those in Portland, Seattle, etc. It's close to the same size as Kansas City's Stadium but once again that place is raucous game in and game out. Is it the Dynamo Front Office's fault? Advertising? Ticket prices? What? In a city as big and diverse as Houston there should be absolutely no reason why we can't make the stadium an atmosphere like KC's.
hoo, man--you just opened a can of worms!! my rapid response.... Three plus years of being really terrible led to a huge loss of the casual fan. Can't get it all back in half a year. Couple that with next to no media coverage and the dynamo are out of sight out of mind for 95% of houston sports fans.
I'd direct you to my numerous postings in the Dynamo FO/TD thread. A number of reasons have contributed to the issue/problem both on-field performance and customer service/stadium experience shortfalls.
Huh, I swear I heard Canetti on the radio 4 weeks ago talking about how they had seen enough of a sample size performance that they were gonna be in the playoff race for the long haul Wednesday just became a must-win. Some work to do in the office to give our @HoustonDynamo a big home field advantage! #ForeverOrange pic.twitter.com/WjgHPhAaIO— Brett Zalaski (@bzalaski) July 3, 2017
Also, I don't wanna hear about international absences due to Gold Cup - Dynamo knew this was on the schedule (with MLS actually taking a break this weekend) when they signed the Hondurans and it didn't seem to hurt the Dynamo back in the 06-09 period.
Choose one of the answers below: MLS is not a big seller in most cities It's going to take a few more years until the next generation becomes part of the economy. Houstonians don't like to sit in the humidity and heat No superstars All of the above
addendum: still waiting on the mexican yeti to arrive so we will fill the stadium to the brim; throw palm leaves at his feet and be forever convinced that screaming a gay slur at the goalie is acceptable for grown adults to do

Massive excitement for tonight's contest on the internet!!! FlashSeats has some good deals - or at least some likely low bids that get accepted given what is listed out there. BTW, I think this game was in some of the Manchester packages and Kroger promotions so the announced crowd may not be that bad
Oduro reminding me of why I don't miss him and Cubo displaying his 2020 Mexican Olympic Diving Team aspirations in the box

Boy, can tell we have a newbie group covering the team - do they not have Ngenwya's goal vs. Morelia in 10 seconds during SuperLiga in the media guide somewhere? Or was that not "awesome" enough? 8' | Andrew Wenger's goal in 50 seconds is the third fastest in team history. Fastest was scored by Giles Barnes in 40 seconds. 1-0— Corey Roepken (@RipSports) July 6, 2017
Tonight's announced attendance: 15,470. Would be generous to say they had 10,000 folks in the stands based on any photos
those that did not show up missed a good performance by the Dynamo Manotas with a perfect cross to Wenger's head for the first goal. Alex with the second goal and showing how he could be considered an MLS allstar by some. If the Dynamo sell him we would definitely have to change formations because he provides so much bite and generates so many turnovers by his anticipation and tackling in the middle of the field. Alot of opportunities we get start with him. If he goes it could hurt our playoff chances. When he wants to play he can really turn it on.
Hugely positive, was the play of Memo and Holland who both made a difference off if the bench. Memo did not put a foot wrong and played great on both ends of the field. Great technical work including the goal which slammed the door shut on MTL. Holland showed some poise and helped control the midfield. Escalante should stay at RGV. Lazy
