Andrew Carelton. Atlanta accomplishes more in Home Grown players in three years than the Dynamo in four times that time.
Heard that Tomas won't play because of a red card suspension from last season's playoff 2nd leg against Seattle.
Rain has been moving in and out of the forecast for Saturday afternoon. Here is the current forecast for 3 pm: 69F 59% humidity wind 10 mph East mostly cloudy 15% chance of rain The afternoon has the best chance of showers but still low at this point. Ya know the Winter Break does fly by! Here we are and March is upon us all! Looking forward to Opening Weekend and this emerging Southern Derby between Texas and Georgia! Atlanta and their supporters have been seen with a flag that proclaims "Kings of the South" on it. Which of course is very cute on them. Perhaps their players can score a goal in a playoff game, much less win a playoff game.before claiming their MLS team as the best in our region of the U.S. VAMO' HOUSTON!!! DALE DYNAMO!!!
Wait, I thought we were SouthWesterners? Besides how can you be king of something when only the Mississippi Brilla are you only other competition.
For association football I just simply go by the Regional Map that our USSF created where there are 4 distinct regions. The East which is basically what we call Yankees, however it includes Maryland and Virginia. This is Region I. Then there is Region II with the Mid-West States from Ohio over to Kansas. Then there is us in Region III which is Oklahoma and Texas all the way to the Carolinas, Georgia and Florida. Region IV is New Mexico, Colorado and everyone West of that. So by the U.S. soccer culture map there are 4 MLS clubs in the South and a good number of lower league clubs. Houston, Atlanta, Orlando and Dallas. Which for many years of MLS Dallas was the lone Region III MLS team and their FO did absolutely nothing to garner any type of travel and branding of their club across the South. States like ours in the South where the people are diverse, the youth play a lot and the game is stronger than expected.
The Atlanta ownership group is top notch, and hopefully other investors will follow their lead. That said, this is Houston, and we don’t give up many points here. I expect the Dynamo will play well.

I don't know. My flash tickets say 2:30. I'm surprised that the tickets have different times but that has happened in the past. Univision does show the game running from 2:30 to 5:00. They usually don't do much of a pre-game but maybe the game doesn't actually start until 3:00.
3 points. That was fun. I guess back to the negativity now... the attendance, ownership, front office, old back line, Cubo and Bruin (those last two are a nice plus now)... which one to pick? But for real, home games will be fun if the boys are healthy. Here's hoping that this translates to the away form.
