The Dash 2017 home opener has been announced. http://www.houstondynamo.com/post/2...t-chicago-red-stars-april-15-open-2017-season This "doubleheader" seems kind of odd but I'll probably go to both games. The rest of the NWSL schedule will be released later.

It's too bad Americans are so into "work" and less into government checks like English folks http://www.miamiherald.com/sports/article138868438.html
"The most striking thing so far, she says, is how relaxed the people are compared to in America where "people are just so into their work."" Read more here: http://www.miamiherald.com/sports/article138868438.html#storylink=cpy
....so what's that have to do with your comment: I read that article and it sounded like she was star struck by Manchester City. Actually that one quote doesn't really even fit in the article.....seems forced by the writer.
The amount of people on welfare and in public housing in England is staggering, even as the US becomes handout nation. They have plenty of time to chill because more don't work (although US unemployment stats are highly misleading)
If you really want to catch a series on the low life - RedRock on Amazon. It's a loooooooong soap that takes place in Dublin and revolves around the interaction between the Garda Siochana at a fictional station in Dublin and the local populace. With the exception of a couple of characters, there's not one redeeming quality in any of either the police officers or the folks they police. There's something like eighty 20 minute episodes in series one and I'm halfway through series two. I'm only watching cause it enhances my feelings of superiority
Dash lose in preseason last night 2-1 another game where they give up a goal late to lose (it is just pre-season though) now I see a new 'assistant coach' is added insurance policy if the results aren't good out of the gate?
No. Prior to this year, there was no budget for coaches apart from Randy. Everybody else was doing it on a "volunteer" basis. This is first year they've had a small budget, so the assistant (who was already a volunteer with the team last 2 years) has been elevated from GK coach this year with a bit of money. He's in no way shape or form an NWSL head coach candidate, though, even on an interim basis.
I take it back, just saw the announcement of a second assistant (there are two). Still not a head coach candidate, though.
Waldrum's not going anywhere. Good deal that the Dash have two asst coaches. NWSL continues to successfully make consistent headway on so many fronts. It seems to me that the they are working their asses off.
If the team struggles this year, he won't be around. The org understands that the parts are good enough to compete for a playoffs spot. Struggling the way they did last season will not be considered acceptable.
Some very good international players on this Dash team. Starters from USA, Brazil, Canada make it an exciting team.
The USMNT had plenty of exciting talent but all it took was an incompitent coach to drive them off the rails and into a ditch. Talent means nothing if theyre being mismanaged.
My point was, there is a ton of talent on the Dash team. He can't use the excuse that he doesn't have the players unless they are gone for months on international duty, Mr Obvious.
Roepken interview with Lloyd: "We've got some great players in place," Lloyd said. "I don't think it's been a question of personnel over the years. We have some great players.' veiled comment on coaching?
