I was gonna joke that the protest sounded the same as a late season Dynamo game when they are out of the playoff hunt. I’m convinced that many of these supporters groups folks of all teams in MLS aren’t even soccer fans but like belonging to a group. Like their supporters group is more important than the game.
While the dumpster fire that is the Dynamo rages on, what about the smaller trash fire that the Dash are? Can’t win at home, attendance looks and announced as cruddy, seems like zero interest in the team except for the local SJW crowd and JJ Watt fans. They’ve won enough to still have a chance at the playoffs but looks unlikely again
True. This is why when a city and its people display an authentic and continued support for the players season after season, those on the outside looking in can witness that their own team's supporter group is all in for the team and the sport!
No matter what with a female pro sports team in Houston, as the years go buy, there is a track record of the team just losing fans and relevancy. Comets were quadruple league champions. Owner eventually folded the team.
Its probably the main reason I don't care about the Dash, womens soccer or womens sports in general. It always feels like it's a cause and not a game. That and the noticeable lack of quality on the field and the slowness of the game. I do admit though, that that lack if quality actually makes the action in front of the net more exciting since they can't clear the ball well. But all in all, I do t watch, will never attend and could care less if the league folded.
There are certain sports like women's volleyball and women's tennis which are quite good and have less of the estrogen warrior element. The entire women's soccer/USWNT/NWSL is pure social justice warrior cause hijacked by people who couldn't explain offsides or think VAR is a sunglasses brand. Blunt reality is that normal professional women's soccer has failed twice already and without the USSF subsidy would have already failed a third time. And if you look at the numbers, half of all attendance is Portland and Utah and the other 7 teams are middling with a few bumps from the USWNT win. I had originally predicted the NWSL would not last past 2019. It appears it will last but the USSF's agreement with the league to supply players ends this season and I think the whole USWNT "equal pay" dispute (a complete mischaracterization of the issue but hey, who on twitter actually has reading comprehension) runs the risk of tanking the league because certain teams will surely fold if they don't get free payroll from the USSF subsidy.
I'm starting to think Portland soccer is a liberal social justice snowflake warrior rally set to the background of a soccer game. Has the message that World War II is over made it out to Oregon? For the "when the Thorns go marching in" chant, the "fuck Seattle" line has been replaced by "fuck the Nazis." It's weird, I just don't understand, life isn't that bad. Any Nazi's out there are simply cosplaying. This movement isn't anti-facist, it's anti-capitalist let's be honest. These people really believe that there is free stuff in this world.
If you are not ardently against whatever they deem as evil, you are for evil!! Which is hilarious because their owner’s money came from Daddy at Goldman Sachs!! http://mobile.twitter.com/rogbennett/status/1165724846254370817

I see the Dash lost again and probably won’t make the playoffs and attendance is cruddy - why again does ownership even bother with this?
Perhaps under different circumstances they'd get cut. But I would be willing to bet that the supporters of the franchise would cause a horrendous ruckus and the organization would not want the bad publicity
yup, now is not the time. but it further illustrates this club's ineptness if the Dynamos, the Dash, and RGVFC do not make the playoffs. we're living in loserville, fellas.

Now wait, didn’t the Brazos Valley Calvary have a good season in the PDL? Just because the only 3 publicly visible parts of the organization are an utter and complete failure doesn’t mean folks like the GenOrange guys won’t argue about how good the organization is doing and how the rest of us are all wrong.
Man, the Dash playoff chances actually worse than the Dynamo according to this site: http://www.sportsclubstats.com/USA/f/Dash.html
Man, I just saw on another website the chances that you would comment or highlight something negative about the Dash. The website had it listed at 100%...I think that chance is too low and its probably higher than that.
I think it was 100% because there zero actual positives coming out of the Dash organization. Been losing since Canetti’s pet project was launched but they can’t shut it down or the SJW’s will howl
Not sure if this was already posted before https://www.houstondynamo.com/post/...e-history-they-visit-tigres-femenil-monterrey Dash are going to Mexico to play the Tigres women’s club.
This is sort of funny, circle of suck guy think the Dash not drawing fans while other teams did after the Women's World Cup was because the Dash wouldn't comp tickets: 1170862828162637824 is not a valid tweet id But I guess they comped people on Friday due to some ticket system problem they had. Not sure why the BBVA WiFi didn't solve the problem on its own!! 1172664539114102785 is not a valid tweet id
