Yeah, but it makes it less fun for me to mock folks who cite the “unseen fans” on the west side stands for exaggerating the attendance. The Dash should play at the new rugby stadium, that’s a better size. I’ll probably never be convinced that the Dash starting up was not partially a desperate move by the Dynamo/Canetti to have something to fill in stadium dates to mask their failure at being able to attract other events.

Its still very early in the season but this weekend is the biggest game of the year for the Dash against the best club not only in the league but in the world. N.C. Courage won the first ever Women’s International Champions Cup last year.
2,933 today’s “announced” attendance for the Dash. Houston certainly seems to have caught Women’s World Cup soccer fever!!!! BTW, if that was announced, how bad was it actually?

This seems like a good way to help sell women’s soccer to the public: http://nypost.com/2019/05/14/megan-rapinoe-my-national-anthem-protests-are-an-f-you-to-trump-administration/
The man you might not respect. Check! Got it. However the office he holds is Commander in Chief of the flag you are playing under. Perhaps you can overcome this distaste for the President and just display a united front with your teammates while our national anthem is played for a few minutes this June. It would be a lot cooler if you did.
Athletes and celebrities that want to bring attention to their causes should use social media, paid advertisement, word of mouth, their own money and resources to do so... like any other person would do. Taking advantage of their position to impose their views on the rest of us is just plain rude. I hope USSoccer is ready to impose some meaningful penalties to those that dishonor our flag.
They accuse people like me of being “haters” and “on the wrong side of history” not realizing that if you don’t appeal to more folks with money in their wallets who may not have your views, you will always be a marginal league or sport one notch above folding. The USWNT princesses don’t really get this because they have their guaranteed salary. Hinkle can’t get a call up because she has a traditional Christian view but telling the President to F Off and kneeling on the anthem gets you a roster spot.

Hey that was some great sportsmanship by Rapinoe celebrating the 10th goal over Thailand like she scored the golden goal. Did she kneel for the anthem as well? I’m not sure why anyone thinks the Dash will take off ever because these USWNT players are about the most dislikable group of athletes since one is the US Olympic men’s basketball teams. And Hope Solo isn’t even on the squad!
In the media today, these Rosies are taking shots from the media over what you speak of WC. Canuck women are chiming in as well.
God forbid someone disagree with you about political views......it's a never ending soap box. Looks like everyone was standing at attention for the anthem https://www.foxsports.com/soccer/video/1535645251781 Here are some suggestions for the next game.... https://www.usatoday.com/story/spor...on-rules-after-uswnts-blowout-win/1429857001/
It really is about sportmanship, class, and respect for one's opponent regardless of their ability. The problem with the USWNT and Women's soccer in general is that their supporters will not condone any criticism. A 13 goal differential is certainly not necessary to ensure an advantage. I'd much rather see the team have the same respect that Iker Casillas showed for Italy in 2012
