I don't know, guys- you may have convinced me that "hot" and "indie rock girls" are a contradiction in terms.
This thread reminds me of a plan I recently hatched to take over the indie rock world. See, there's a proven formula for indie success that I can follow very easily given my current location, and that is: Noise rock + Japanese girl singer = win For maximum effect, she needs to speak 10 words of English at most and be named something like Yuki or Miho.
A deathmatch between the girls from Blonde Redhead, Deerhoof, Asobi Seksu and Cibo Matto would be an indie nerd's total wet dream, no?
Yeah, there are certainly a few very nice ones along the way (Mariqueen & Katrina Kerns, for example) but for the most part this thread looks like a long line of reaches, to me. Still, to each their own I guess...
