Word has it that the Union will be honoring the 40th anniversary of the Philadelphia Atoms NASL title this week. D
Haven't heard whether it will be pregame or halftime, but the Atoms are going to be honored in some way.

In 1973, after the Atoms' final home match (a playoff win over Toronto), 18,000+ fans at Veterans Stadium sang "Auld Lang Syne" to the team--probably the first example of singing at a US soccer match.

Anyway, I think it would be a nice and fitting tribute if the Sons of Ben broke out "Auld Lang Syne" during the Atoms' ceremony. Thoughts? Any takers? I promise to sing along from Section 107...

    Cheers!
