Really late to the party, but Spitz has played for the US national beach soccer team on and off since 2012. His last beach soccer appearance for the US was in June 2015.
Also, looking at the dates, it appears that for the last 8 games of the 2014-15 season, Hong Kong Rangers had Americans starting at both outside back positions, with Shay Spitz at left back and Jason Eng at right back.
