I know it's tempting, but the last thing that Kitchee should be thinking about is winning the Treble.

Still a lot of football to be played.

Over 3,000 tickets have already been sold for the season finale between Eastern and Kitchee. It looks like a full house to me if the weather is good tomorrow.

It is a shame that HKFA and the two clubs cannot arrange to move the match to Hong Kong Stadium. I think if it is moved there we can get 10,000 fans.

Similarly the HKFA Cup final between South China and Kitchee on 14 May is also held at Mongkok. If they played it at HK Stadium I think they can get 6,000 fans, as South China fans are dying to see their club win a trophy.

    Good job, Kitchee!
Hope Southern, South China or Yuen Long can further block Eastern's way in the play-off.

By the way, Wilson Wong, the board member of HKFA said that the post season play-off in this year will be the last edition as the AFC no longer recognizes the play-off winner as the "winner of national knock-out cup". The winner of 2017/18 Hong Kong Premier League and FA Cup will represent the league to participate in 2019 AFC Cup.

    Congratulations to Kitchee!!!

Brian Leung said Kitchee will not be able to play in the EPL Asia Trophy because there will be 4 EPL clubs taking part this year, no local clubs can take part.

But anyway Kitchee is going to stage a friendly against Tottenham Hotspurs this summer.

With HKFC relegated to the 1st Division, its pretty much a battle between Sun Hei or Wong Tai Sin for promotional place for the HKPL 2017-18.

Very well done by Kitchee. They play a very attractive style and were more than full value for their win on Saturday.

The question now turns to whether they can keep this team together.

Sun Hei are favored to win the title but there's a chance that both could be promoted if the HKFA wants to expand to 12 teams. Unfortunately for Sun Hei, they will lose their top scorer Yuen Chun Sing who scored 40 goals for them in all competitions.

HKFA CEO Mark Sutcliffe said before that a Macau club wants to join the HKPL, they were not ready this last season but should be ready next season. I hope this comes to be.

If I have to choose one between Sun Hei and Wong Tai Sin, then I will pick Wong Tai Sin. Sun Hei is run by very old fashioned people, plus I prefer district clubs.

Well, Eastern AA's final group stage match ended in a 4-0 defeat to Japanese club, Kawasaki Frontale. Overall, they only picked up 1 point out of their matches.

Thanks to Kawasaki, at least they achieved the first ever goal and match point in the ACL. Can't request them more.

    Here are the highlights:

Once again, Eastern's defence is very questionable.

I don't blame the Eastern players, they are probably too tired after the "HKPL final" on Saturday.

I think HKFA need to see if they can allow clubs taking part in Asian competitions to play fewer local matches in the future.

Having 12 clubs in the league and scrapping the Sapling Cup is one solution. Alternatively play the Sapling Cup in Sep to Dec period instead.

South China were much better than the last time the two teams played however Kitchee's quality was the difference in the end.

Hopefully South China beats Eastern in the post-season match up as well. I hate Eastern.

The Kait Tak Sports Hub project is being debated in LegCo and many legislators are against the govt's proposal. The govt wants to give about $60 million to any bids that made it to the final four in order to attract quality bids.

I think if they found a private firm to run the sports hub, then we could see the Wembley International running Hong Kong Stadium affair all over again.
