It's only the preliminary squad so I'm not going to get too excited. But wow, if White gets Dai to come and drops most of the old guard, I'll be very satisfied.

HK Pegasus has replaced its coach Pedro with local coach Chan Ho-Yin, after losing to R&F FC 2:4 in Guangzhou at the weekend. The first coaching casualty of the year.

Here's part two of that interview: https://www.scmp.com/sport/hong-kon...a-and-rethink-hong-kong-premier-league-advice

I'm glad publications like SCMP and offside.hk asked to talk to him in his final days as CEO because even when he was CEO, he would not mince words. Now, he doesn't even have to hold back.

The impression I got from the interviews is that the reason why people like Canny Leung, Peter Leung, Ken Ng, and Chan Man Chun hate him is because he's firm. Sutcliffe points out that they all have conflicts of interested as we would expect. But it appears that part of his job was to rule with an iron fist and suppress them in a way that would prevent the HKFA and the HKPL from being torn apart by competing interests.

That's what the next CEO needs to be, I suppose. It needs to be someone who is firm, who will set out a clear vision and won't take bullshit from any of the chairmen/women.

Canny Leung is still lambasting him on her facebook page. But I don't understand why she is doing it now that he is gone. She has been a director of HKFA for 3+ years while Mark Sutcliffe worked as CEO for 6 years. All these years she had nothing to say but now he has left for good she cannot shut up about him.

Canny Leung keeps talking about Mark Sutcliffe not respecting procedures. Wow, coming from her it is a bit too rich.

KC Southern Vs Wofoo Tai Po FC - 1:0

KC Southern's impressive run continues as James Stephen HA's 96th minute goal was enough to seal all three points against Wofoo Tai Po FC and remain top of the league.

Eastern Long Lions Vs Dreams FC - 4:0

A Manuel BLEDA hat-trick and a goal from TSE Long-Hin sunk Dreams FC who are sitting second from bottom of the league ahead of Hoi King FC.

How cruel the game of football can be sometimes. Au Chung misses a sitter in the 93rd minute and then three mere minutes later...

Dream FC 0:4 Eastern Longlions. Manuel Belda scored a hat-trick from a hat-trick of assists by Lam Ka-Wai.

    Hoi King 0:5 R&F FC

Lam Zhi-Gin scored twice but was substituted in the second half with a small injury.

Best Union Yuen Long 2:2 Kitchee

Another 2 points dropped by champions Kitchee in front of a very happy 1,401 Yuen Long crowd. Yuen Long is proving to be quite a nice surprise this season.

Can someone please justify the inclusion of Ngue and Sandro in the squad.. I suppose we are lacking strikers, but still.

James Ha should've been part of the squad. Unlike the other two, he's actually in form.

Actually Ngue was performing well in the Chinese Jia League, it is just bad luck that his club will be relegated. For Sandro I really have no idea.

Both Hong Kong national team and Hong Kong B team were training at the new TKO Football Training Centre yesterday.

It is good to see Hong Kong team finally have a base and can train freely without interference. New coach Gary White also has high praise for the facilities.

Tsun Dai has gone to the Netherlands to join the Chinese U21 training camp.

Hong Kong football fans are furious with him as he was supposed to be injured and decided against joining the Hong Kong squad.

Joining U21 training camp does not mean he will play for China instead of Hong Kong, but it could go that way.

To be fair, it is bad optics, but common for footballers to train with different youth squads. Common with German-Americans, common with "British" players with English/Irish/Scottish/Welsh heritage.

What is interesting here is that Tsun is even eligible. So all HK players are eligible to play for China? Are China players eligible for HK then?

Also, if he was more upfront about it instead of lying through "an injury", perhaps the optics would be less bad.

All in all - based on the hundreds of comments on his last instagram post - this is not good for Tsun's future in HK.

Tsun Dai's decision to train with the China U-21 team is baffling and confusing at the same time.

Whilst I don't exactly know on sort of eligibility grounds he would be able to represent China (unless he has a parent or grandparent who is originally from China), but he should really provide an explaination about his decision just to clear the air up as things are not reflecting well for him as @Suburbia had mentioned.
