This is almost similar to the match fixing scandal during the Hong Kong Vs Thailand match during the 1998 WC Asia Qualifying Zone a long way back.
In addition to their 2-0 loss against the Japan Universiade U-20 side, they've also achieved a 1-0 win against the Cambodia U22 side, courtesy of a HK Pegasus's Jordan LAM Lok Kan.
Dejan Antonic will be the head coach of Biu Chun Rangers. He was South China's head coach for the past 1/2 season.
Former South China captain Chan Wai-Ho said Wallace Cheung is only willing to pay them (9 players still have contracts with Wallace Cheung) one month's salary as severance pay, which is contradictory to their contractual obligations and they will not accept. Therefore they are still contracted to South China and cannot yet join other clubs. They are asking HKFA for help. They would like to resolve the issue soon so they can join other clubs. Tsang Man-Fai has already joined Wofoo Tai Po as his contract with South China expired already.
South China Morning Post A future star? Hong Kong teenager Tsun Dai looks set to make debut in English professional football this season after impressing in pre-season friendly The 17-year-old Bury player impressed in a friendly against Sunderland Hong Kong teenager Dai Wai-tsun impressed on his debut for Bury at the weekend as he seeks to carve out a professional career in English football. A couple of weeks before he turns 18, Tsun Dai as he is known in England played in a friendly against Sunderland, and though League One side Bury lost 3-2, he caught the eye. Although primarily a fitness exercise, judging from highlights online, the midfielder didn’t look out of place against Sunderland, who were relegated from the Premier League last season. Dai was singled out by manager Clark, a former Premier League midfielder with Newcastle United, Sunderland and Fulham, as one of the best performers and impressed fans on social media. “I thought there were some really good performances, [Dai] at 17 and Shotton at 16, both of them were terrific and it bodes well for the future,” Clark said. “I want to build a pathway for these young players to get into the team in the short-term. Are they going to be playing 40 games in a team challenging for promotion? Probably not. “But they certainly showed me tonight that if called upon they won’t let us down.” Tsun, a former captain of Barcelona Hong Kong soccer school, moved to England as an 11-year-old to further his football training. He was with Reading’s youth teams before moving to Bury and got his first professional contract in May of this year. According to an interview his father did with Apple Daily, he had to work “twice as hard in the gym” to cope with the physicality of English youngsters and had to “overcome a lot of discrimination” because he’s Chinese. Cheung Chi-doy, for Blackpool in the sixties, is the only Hong Kong player to have played in the English top flight. South China player Sean Tse Ka-keung featured for Manchester City’s youth teams but never made a top-team debut, while Premier League Southampton currently have 17-year-old Javen Siu Ko-chun in their youth team.

Hopefully Dai Tsun will continue to make an impact at Bury FC and hopefully he will be called up for the national youth sides. HKFA and Iceland FA have struck a partnership deal after receiving sponsorship from We Like HK fund. Iceland will send its football coaches to Hong Kong and Hong Kong U16 will visit Iceland in December (!) for 10 days of training and matches. Mark Sutcliffe said Hong Kong national team will play Singapore in a friendly on 31 Aug, ahead of its AFC Cup qualifier against Malaysia on 5 Sep. Hong Kong will also play Laos and Bahrain in friendlies in October and November.

Dai Wai Tsun made a league start as a substitute during Bury FC's win over Walsall FC. http://www.scmp.com/sport/soccer/ar...ts-4240-fans-bury-make-winning-start-campaign I do highly expect the Hong Kong national youth team to monitor his progress and perhaps call him up for the AFC U19 Championship qualifiers which take place at the beginning of November 2017 or potentially as part of the Asian Games 2018 football tournament. Its also such a shame that despite gaining 2 draws and a win and finishing as runner-up of their group, the U23 team missed out on qualifying for next year's tournament. It will be interesting to see whether coach Kim could possibly consider calling up some of the U23 team for their upcoming friendly matches later this month.
South China Morning Post Tsun Dai delights 4,240 fans as Bury make winning start to campaign The recently-turned 18-year-old comes on in the 60th minute as the Shakers earn three points in their opening game of the 2017-2018 campaign at Gigg Lane Unus Alladin Dai Wai-tsun’s career in the English League One got off to a flying start as the England-based Hong Kong starlet made it a winning debut in Bury’s 1-0 victory against Walsall. “Tsun Dai” came on in the 60th minute to help his new club pick up their first points for the season. And the just turned 18-year-old teenager was pleasantly surprised he started for the Shakers after coming off the bench to the delight of the 4,240 fans at Gigg Lane. “I didn’t expect to play for Bury today so I was a bit surprised when they called me up in the 60th minute,” said Dai, who replaced Nicky Ajose. “Overall, I’m delighted to have played for Bury,” said Dai, who impressed for the third-tier outfit when he made his debut against Championship outfit Sunderland last month. Dai could again face the Black Cats in Bury’s next game on Thursday when they face the Championship side in the Carabao Cup. Dai signed a new three-year contract with Bury in the summer having played for the Reading youth team before moving to the League One side. The stadium erupted into applause when Dai came on the pitch and he wasn’t overawed by the occasion. He made an impressive debut, vowing after the game that he would “try his best” to hold down a regular place in Lee Clark’s outfit. The Hong Kong teenager revealed he had been slightly injured during training on Friday when a teammate accidentally stomped on his leg and although his leg was a bit swollen, it had not affected his performance on Saturday. He also picked up a slight injury in his lower leg during the game after colliding with a teammate and had his leg wrapped as a precaution. Supporters from Hong Kong and those based in England had gone to Gigg Lane to support Dai to which the teenager said: “Please continue to watch and support our team.” Jermaine Beckford scored at the stroke of half-time in what turned out to be the only goal of the match. Bury could have won by a bigger margin having two penalties – one in each half – brilliantly saved by Walsall goalkeeper Mark Gillespie. Clark said after the game, he was happy Bury got off to a winning start to the campaign. “I’m happy because you always want to start the season with a win. A clean sheet is a great start for us,” said Clark. “I think defensively, we looked strong, we looked sound. We stopped them in the areas where we wanted to. We scored a great goal from a setpiece. We missed two penalties by two lads who probably don’t miss many or any in their career. The lads withstood the pressure thrown at us in the last ten minutes.”
This could be tricky. Clubs are not obligated to release their players for youth competition and because Hong Kong is a minnow in world football, the chances are that they would refuse to do so. As well, assuming that the group stage is in Hong Kong, the shortest flight between Manchester and Hong Kong is 13h 40m with one layover, costing roughly HK$5,200. Even if he were released, the HKFA would have to consider whether it is worth they money to fly him and he would have to decide whether he wants to subject himself to that much travel. It's also no guarantee that the group stage will be in Hong Kong so it could be an even longer flight, with more layovers. Jordan Lam would be my pick to get promoted into the senior squad. However, Kim would have to be certain that such a young player could handle the pressure with such a promotion. I do think though that Lam has a certain skill set which seems to be lacking in the senior squad, such as creativity, dribbling and crossing.
South China Morning Post South China set to avoid Fifa sanctions with contract disputes almost settled after walking away from Premier League Serbia’s Bojan Malisic and Nikola Komazec agree compensation with Caroliners, although Brazilian Luiz Carlos is yet to finalise exit package with the now first division outfit Chan Kin-wa Fallen Hong Kong heavyweights South China are unlikely to face sanctions from Fifa after settling the majority of their players’ contracts following their decision to drop down to the first division ahead of the new season. South China still had nine players, including three from overseas, under contract for another season when they made the surprising decision to withdraw from the top-flight Premier League in June, with some of the foreign players taking their cases to Fifa for arbitration. However, it is believed Serbia’s Bojan Malisic and Nikola Komazec have both accepted a one-off payment from the club to leave Hong Kong while other local players, headed by former Manchester City academy product Sean Tse Ka-keung and captain Chan Wai-ho, have also agreed terms with South China and found new clubs for the new season. The case surrounding Brazilian Luiz Carlos is still under consideration as the midfielder has yet to accept the terms for an early contract termination. “We have made [Luiz Carlos] an offer, but apparently he wants more than that,” said a South China official. “If we can’t settle the amount, we may have to call him back to play for us in the amateur first division. But we all know this is not ideal and are still trying to work out a solution that is acceptable to both sides.” The 35-year-old joined the Caroliners in 2015 through fellow Brazilian and former coach Casemiro Mior and memorably scored in the 1-0 win over Ceres of the Philippines in 2015 as South China reached the quarter-finals of the regional tournament. “We understand the club is in the process of agreeing negotiated settlements [for the foreign players] in the same way as has been achieved with the local players,” said Hong Kong Football Association chief executive Mark Sutcliffe. “The matter will only be referred to the Fifa Disputes Resolution Chamber if this can’t be achieved. I am cautiously confident that the matter will be resolved to everyone’s satisfaction without the need for Fifa intervention.” Attacking midfielder Tse, believed to be one of the highest paid local players, joined Tai Po earlier this week, while Chan has joined Sapling ahead of the new Premier League season which begins on August 25 as defending champions Kitchee take on last season’s runners-up Eastern at Mong Kok Stadium.
Tsun Dai played 72 minutes for Bury United against Sunderland in the English League Cup. Bury United lost 0-1.
Its also interesting that Tsun Dai has both a British and Hong Kong passport if I heard correctly. Do you guys think he should represent the England or Hong Kong national football team?
