The link is to another thread I started about an effort by my U18 girls team to raise money for a trip to do HIV/AIDS prevention and awareness with the Garifuna around Tela and La Ceiba.

The project came about through one of the girls on the team, a catracha herself, talking about the need to have some kind of organized soccer for girls in Honduras, because she could only find games with guys when she was in Tegucigalpa. The idea sounded great to me, as I've been fond of the country since going down to attend my brother's wedding, he was a Peace Corps volunteer in El Progresso, his wife's hometown, and the of course my nephew and nieces are Honduran, aren't they?

Anyway, we've found a way we can be of some use, and a way in which a bunch of young gringas can learn about an amazing part of the world. Take a look if you'd like, and please send along to anyone you think may want to assist.
