At home or with thousand of ticos in the stands, and even on neutral turf--Honduras beating Costa Rica in futbol games has happened often. The question is how often has it happened and what is the all-time record between the two? Let the friendly discussion leading up to next month's friendly begin
No In all honestly I can't wait for the pre-pubescent boyish nervousness my Costa Rican friends 'round these parts feel before playing Honduras....
The all time record between Costa Rica and Honduras is: 18 Costa Rica wins 14 Honduras wins 15 Draws Also worth noticing is that Honduras has never lost a match in Costa Rican soil since 1960. I don't know why the Americans say that Costa Rica is almost unbeatable there.
I vote for Alejandro Morera Soto parte deux (here many of the same starters in that match): -----------------------Valladares------------------------ --------------Caballero----------Figueroa-------------- Garcia------------------------------------------Guerrero (Capitan) -------------------------M. Suazo------------------------ --------Alvarez---------Guevara---------------De Leon ---------------------Suazo-------Costly----------------- Subs: Forwards: W. Martinez (1st option), Pavon Mids: Palacios (right wing), Martinez (left wing)
Great game! Honduras is always a tough opponent for us since they always play different against the better teams. Im hoping both Honduras and Costa Rica bring all their abroad players. This would be my ideal lineup... -----------------------J.F. Porras--------------------- ---------------L.Marin---------G. Badilla-------------- O. Rojas---------------------------------------R. Miller -----------------------R. Azofeifa---------------------- -------------C. Hernandez-----------B. Ruiz------------- -----------------------W. Centeno---------------------- ------------A. Saborio---------------F. Ledezma---------- Subs. W. Alfaro, P. Chinchilla, M. Umana, G. Segares, H. Wallace, R. Rodriguez, C. Bolanos, P. Herrera, A. Solis, A.Herron, A . Alpizar
This game should be great. Both teams are the best CA has to offer. Hopefully i can watch it. Dale Honduras, Vamos Costa Rica. May the better team win. Any predications?
any word on Honduras line up? I know that that players based in Italy are expect to come back for the game...but wondering if anything has actually been confirmed. thanks

hello all, just wanted to add some more information about the game being played in Hartford, CT. on the 9th of Sept. Hartford is located about 1 hour and a half drive from either NYC or Boston and there are also 2 casinos within a 30 minute ride of the stadium and a few nice spanish restaurants within 15 minute drive from the stadium. The stadium is rather new and seats about 40,000 people but most of the seats are metal bleachers. Here I'm also adding a link to ticketmaster if anyone is interested. It seems the prices are a little different then advertised. Spread the word lets see if we all can fill up this stadium no matter what team people follow. http://www.ticketmaster.com/event/1D003F0EBEF38212?artistid=1151496&majorcatid=10004&minorcatid=11
Costa Rica will now get spanked in another state....What's new? I'll be sure to take some game photos.
This would be a sick lineup but the problem is we have to conserve to have a good bench. So i would probably say leaving amado benched and having fresh legs out there to put Ramon Nunez. Also Amado and Rambo cant really play together they both wants to do everything .This would be my lineup tell me what you think. --------------Valladares-------------- ----------------Samuel Caballero---------Maynor Figeroa---------- Bonieck Garcia-----------------------------------------------Ivan Guerro --Edgar Alvarez ------ Ramon Nunez --------Maynor Suazo-- ---------------------Rambo De Leon ------------------------ ----------David Suazo ----------------------Carlo Costly---------- 1st Sub Pavon for Costly 2nd Sub Amado for Ramon Nunez 3rd Sub Emil Martinez for Maynor Suazo
