How do you guys think we will perform against Holland?

I think Lavolpe is pissed and El Tri is going for the win.

    I really don't think so.

France's team is full of anyone other than true French.

    We'll beat Holland.

his poor choices in the starting lineup and because Mexico dominated the possesion of the ball in the second half but failed to create many chances.

Holland is much better than France. Both individually and collectively.
At least based upon what I saw of both teams during the WC qualification matches.

If Holland will play at the top of their level or will play the same as they did in the qualifying rund,is another story.

They played vs Camerun B team. It will be another difficult game, which is good. I think Mexico will play better on offense on this game.

Mexico played well against france, but lacked aggressiveness. I think that if they play more aggressive and attacking against holland (aka with balls) they will win. They just need a different starting line up, one without suarez, castro, or guille.

Even a draw would be a win for Mexico in this case.. Beating Holland in Holland would be the biggest win for Mexico of all the friendlies they've had for at least several years... It will be a test, for sure..
Jaap Stam has slowed a bit... Someone needs to run around him, if he plays...;)

I'm not absolutely positive on this but I can only assume that the guys that play in these pre-World Cup warm up matches are guys that are actually listed in the world cup roster. If this is the case, then you won't be seeing Roy Makaay, unless someone dropped out with an injury and he was named as a last minute replacement. I would have looked forward to seeing him as well, though. That is all.

...good news, no injuries in mexico...i was expecting pavel injured, but i guess not...so good...this time i hope lavolpe leaves maza in instead of suarez...and if hes playing borgetti/franco, he better gives them some real wing play, cuz castro and pineda were not enough...defense looks good...hope to see kikin, chiquis (i want to see this fool the whole game, aunque la cague), and mendez...i dont care if rafa does not play, even pavel...

LaTorpe was livid, and I assume he read the riot act to the team so we should play better, or at least the forwards should be more active, a win would be good, but if yesterday ref is an indication, dont count on it, impartiality is not on the ref mind when whistling a friendly on home turf.

Still, I hope mistakes will be corrected and it should be a fun game.

Mexico needs to start a forward with some pace. Borgetti and Franco and great players but Jared needs balls in the air, and Franco is not going to beat you one on one. Bravo can some what bring that. Kikin needs a chance to show what he can do versus teams like this. Defense is solid, but we need a "goleador", speed,power,skill..to be honest, I dont think Mexico has one of those players. LaVolpe needs to twist the lineup around and get a starting lineup, because we wont have the luxury of subbing in 7 people in 2 weeks.I have a feeling we should at least tie, or even maybe win. Playing these teams in VERY good for the team, its about time Mexico plays against these types of teams in Friendlies. We need to play the best in order to be the best.

we need bravo and kikin up front they make better team work more dangerous because bravo has better dribling skills and can actualy get through defenders and fonseca has a heavy leg bravo is fast and sneaky got damn did u see him get away from the defender when they called it offsides

Bravo has a chance of replacing Franco. Borgetti is 100% sure to be in against Iran I am afraid no matter the facts. I am impressed at our world-class defense. I am reasonably sure that Portugal et al do not have the forwards that France threw at us (albeit for a friendly).

Therefore if we fail it will be because of our lack of class attacking mids/forwards.
