Yes people it's meaningless friendly time again!

Van Marwijk called up the following players for this:

Ibrahim Afellay (FC Barcelona), Mark van Bommel (AC Milan), Eljero Elia (HSV), Urby Emanuelson (AC Milan), John Heitinga (Everton), Klaas-Jan Huntelaar (Schalke 04), Theo Janssen (FC Twente), Nigel de Jong (Manchester City), Dirk Kuyt (Liverpool), Jeremain Lens (PSV), Hedwiges Maduro (Valencia), Joris Mathijsen (HSV), Ruud van Nistelrooy (HSV), Robin van Persie (Arsenal), Erik Pieters (PSV), Wesley Sneijder (Inter), Maarten Stekelenburg (Ajax), Kevin Strootman (FC Utrecht), Rafael van der Vaart (Tottenham Hotspur), Michel Vorm (FC Utrecht), Gregory van der Wiel (Ajax), Peter Wisgerhof (FC Twente).

Van der Vaart has already cancelled, as has Janko for Austria.

I predict the following starting XI (not that I necessarily agree with it mind)

    ----------------------------Stek--------------------------

    Van der Wiel--------Heitinga-------Matthijsen---------Pieters

    ------------------Bommel--------De Jong----------

    ------Kuyt----------------Sneijder------------Afellay

    -------------------------Van Persie---------------------

Van Persie also not playing, Luuk de Jong called up to replace him.

NIgel de Jong is also out now and these mid-season useless friendlies should be cancelled.

On the other hand it could be fun like that friendly we played v the Ukraine with a B-side - by far the most entertaining friendly of recent years that was!

So now it's (watch this space, might change every half hour as they're dropping like flies at the moment)

    ----------------------------Stek--------------------------

    Van der Wiel--------Heitinga-------Matthijsen---------Pieters

    ------------------Bommel--------Janssen----------

    ------Kuyt----------------Sneijder------------Afellay

    -------------------------Huntelaar---------------------

I'm definitely boycotting this one. Like Rafael and Nigel.

Listening to all the sounds Van Marwijk is making this will indeed be our starting XI.

Matthijsen and Sneijder likey to get subbed off first as both have just returned from an injury. Austria has a shedload of cancellations too apparently.

Will be a messy game from the looks of it. But interesting, I will watch. I wish Van Marwijk experimented with some other players however.

Sneijder is so much better than everybody else on the pitch it's unreal. Janssen also having a good game. Van der Wiel is awful and Afellay is showboating without a cause.

Nice to see Arnautovic has lost nothing of his cockiness hehehe

Also to the Kuyt haters: screw you. He's been faultless.

Great Snijder goal. Afellay thinks he's still playing vs Sweden. our defence can not pass the ball amongst themselves.

Afellay has been pretty terrible. Three good moves and then it ends in nothing.

Elia in for Sneijder, that probably means Janssen to central midfield? Matthijsen out, Wisgerhof in.

Eh? Kuyt has done nothing wrong and Janssen has had the best passes of the game. Weirdo..

If you want to criticise two players it's Van der Wiel who looks like his head is at a hiphop concert and Afellay who's doing all sorts of pointless things.

Great goal by Huntelaar thanks to Elia and Pieters.

Second best man on the pitch: Twente youth academy product Arnautovic.

    Wisgerhoff, Janssen, Elia, Arnautovic hehehe.

No he didn't. He joined us when he was barely 17 and when nobody wanted him. I'm not bothered if you think he was invisible. People have eyes to see for themselves.

Are we talking about Elia who was rejected by the Ajax youth academy and then benched by Den Haag because he wasn't good enough? Yes I'm sure he owes his career to Den Haag.

he is a real hagenees and was a part of the wonderful team that promoted an almost dead club to the eredivisie. you are biased, everything that has something to do with your retarded farmer club is the best on earth in your eyes.

I agree that he's a real Hagenees and for the record, I like ADO Den Haag a lot, esp. this season. For ADO to be claiming Elia is a bit much though seeing that he was never a solid starter for them and that he was regularly benched. His career took off at Twente and that's a fact. Also I'm proud to be a fan of a retarded farmer club, so that doesn't really hurt me. Sorry.
