This kid could've scored 4 goals. If he fine tunes his finishing a 20+ goal season is coming up. Now I don't want him to be one and done I think he should stay at psv for three seasons. I don't want him to get the Depay treatment, where they sell him after one great season and he ends up in obscurity.
Apart from his good play against AZ, you could see also points for improvement. He sometimes didnot notice fellow players ready to receive a pass from him with an open goal waiting. It's allright for fans to be jubelant but for the staff it is necesary to focus on the points needing improvement in order to make him better. And he knows that. He could sign for richer clubs paying more. But he experienced the "Dutch treat" by his Dutch coach in Mexico and benefitted from it and made the conscious decision to join the league to benefit more. So you're right. He made the choice to learn, not to please fans by joining clubs that arenot interested in making him better, but have higher status. He could have gone the ManCity/Chelsea track, but now he's in control himself.

© Pim Ras Fotografie
There might be richer clubs but PSV is pure class. PSV is highly regarded by many Mexicans the club has history in Mexico
If I was a young attacker, my first choice would also be the Eredivisie. The Eredivisie might be the best showcase league in Europe for young attacking talent. If I was a young defender I would NOT go to the Eredivisie LOL!!! Maybe try Italy or Portugal instead. This is where having a good honest agent helps to give good career advice instead of just chasing money. Based on what I saw in the 1st half alone, Chuky will have a huge payday soon enough.
Eredivisie club---player moved to--- Feyenoord-------Stefan de Vrij, Lazio, transfer value between 25-30 million €€ AZ Alkmaar------Wesley Hoedt, Lazio FC Groningen---van Dijk, Southampton, transfer value between 50-70 million €€ Liverpool target Feyenoord--------Karsdorp, Roma, 15 million Feyenoord--------Kongolo, Monaco, 17 million Even defenders from FC Groningen and Heracles (10th, 11th place) moved to 3d placed Serie A club Atalanta Ajax-----------------Sanches, ??Liverpool, Barcelona?, rejected offer 40 million etcetera..etcetera No place lke the Eredivisie to start as a young player, because you are being taught to use your brains.
Maza Rodriguez, who was always talented but was guilty of massive brain farts, improved this aspect after playing in Eredivisie...
