Around here we get paid via ArbiterPay for playoffs and for selected (and growing) individual schools. So far my total through ArbiterPay hasn't crossed $600 so I have more opinion than experience (!), but man if >$600 from all payors means a 1099 that would suuuuuck.

All I know if Arbiter was the name on the 1099 I got and it was for all payments where they were the pass through.

Suspect you are preaching to the choir here.

I do games for various leagues that have totaled over $600. And get the lovely 1099. I have found that once you add up the mileage and other expenses, we are not really making that much money.......

HS might be a different tune as the pay is approximately double most youth games. $92 V (dual) $62 JV (dual) $80 MS (solo) here in Eastern CT
