I'd take any sort of win - based on current form, Hibs will be a far tougher game than the January game at Parkhead.

As sure as night follows day, it was only a matter of time before Ma-Kalamby had another nightmare game.

It is hard to remember sometimes how young he still is...that said, he is getting old enough that I shouldn't have to make excuses like that for him. It is a bit of a shame after Stokes had the fastest ever SPL goal too.

    Russell Anderson to Hibs?

Sunderland defender Russell Anderson is close to agreeing terms with Hibernian for a January move to Easter Road, BBC Scotland has learned.

I know he's hardly had a sniff since moving down to England from Aberdeen, but injuries did play a large part in that. And if he can play anywhere near the level he was at before he left Aberdeen then I think this would be a pretty good move for Hibs. I always liked Anderson as a CB. One of those players that would have had far more than 11 international caps if he'd been playing for either of the big Glasgow teams.

Yogi continues to impress me with the squad he's trying to build at Hibs.

Saw that, but Yogi is denying it. He is not denying that he is bringing in more players in January though. Meanwhile Hearts are clearing out players to make way for loans in.

I think that's an opportunity missed if that is the case. There would be risk involved but for me, a Sol Bamba/Russell Anderson CB combo is a big upgrade from Bamba/Hogg.

But you're the Hibies fan. What's your opinion on it?

(I'm basing this on Anderson being near or equal to his Dons form before he left Scotland, which is the risk part)

And surely with Bamba heading off to the African Cup of Nations Hibs need reinforced in the central defensive area?

I sure wouldn't mind having Anderson--again assuming he is still the same guy. I've also heard that Hogg might leave fairly soon. Eventually some team will be along for Bamba, so the back line is going to have to be continually reinforced. Amazingly Hibs have a glut of attackers and real strength in the back...I think the back lacks the depth though.

Not that old, old, old, old chestnut again. :)

Anyhoo, we've let you have Mark Brown. First Riordan and now Brown. You see, it's not all one way traffic. ;)

Hah! Fair do's. He does look like another excellent young player that you've brought through. The main person you want to keep is Big Yogi. Great manager.

Probably more of a striker, though not the back to the goal variety.
