Is it just an odd coincidence that almost every HG has been injured this year and especially all of the younger ones except Reynolds? I wonder if the Academy is over training the kids.
As a non-physician..................its really hard to explain the number of hernia surgeries on this team. Maybe folks are just getting better and better at diagnosing these things. Ulloa, Acosta, Ferreira, Reaves, etc. over the last year and a half.
The academy practices almost exclusively on turf which is super hard on soft tissue in the joints for sure. Normally the pros (and younger home growns) practice on their own exclusive grass field so not sure about their injuries.
I think the FCD trainers are compiling data for a study on injuries associated with long term training on turf.
