I cant believe he didn't call him up this time, he has played in every Saprissas game this season, scoring goals, assisting, defending, playing multiple positions, so why don't you give him a chance man?

I agree....i think this would've been the perfect time to call him up. He's been playing very solid...and he's very athletic so playing against a very athletic team like Panama would've made sense. But im kind of glad he didnt get called up becuase i'd like to see Armando play alongside Bryan Ruiz and Carlos Hernandez in the midfield .

Does it have anything to do with him playing in the A-League? It really not a bad league.

I doubt it would have anything to do with the quality of the league, but rather with the fact that Hernandez has not been playing all that well (or all that bad), and there are other players who would be able to cover for him that are closer by.

He should be on the team like many other young players....but we all know Medford only likes to play older slower players

Finally he gets called up! I was starting to think Medford and Alonso had personal problems and he would never be called up.

I hate seeing our team lose but im kind of hoping we do so Medford can see that a lot of his favorite players he keeps calling up aren't doing sh*t for the team. Either he switches it up or gets fired/quits. We should start a new process with younger and faster players that will benefit us longterm even if it cost us a spot to the 2010 World Cup, because if we get lucky and qualify with all of these old players we will get beat worse than we did in 2006.

    Álvaro Mesén < Alfonso Quesada
    Víctor Cordero < Roy Smith
    Andrés Núñez < Pablo Brenes
    Jervis Drummond < Luis Pena
    Ricardo Harris < Harold Wallace
    Rodolfo Rodríguez < Celso Borges
    William Sunsing < Winston Parks
Allan Alemán < Argenis Fernandez until he leaves next month
    Rónald Gómez < Minor Diaz

I just read in the paper Medford going on and on about how the CR press is out to get him and his family and he needs to be left alone. I don´t understand how he did so well with Saprissa and is completely messing up with la sele. The header scored against us in Kingston was a joke, completely unmarked, and we missed a zillion chances to score. This is starting to look like around a decade ago when Steve Sampson had to really mess up before he was shown the door.

Well when he had Saprissa players like Gomez, Bolanos, Saborio, Centeno, Solis, Azofeifa, Bennett, ect were three years younger, faster, and playing together and at a high level. Medfords mistake is picking those same players when some of them aren't even in good form anymore.

If only he could learn from the great Arsene Wenger and see that its better to develop the young players for a better future instead of sticking with old has-beens. Thats why my Arsenal is so sick right now:D:cool:

As you can clearly see, the closest defenders are at least four feet away from him. A clear gift.
