Trinidad & Tobago v Mexico March 28, 2017 Hasely Crawford Stadium, Port of Spain 19:00 UTC-4 Referee: Valdin Legister (Jamaica) Going for 10.
Rafa & Damm out Our players are dropping like flies. Any word on replacements or are we going with who we have left?
Since Rafa Márquez got injured and therefore is going back to Guadalajara for the pertaining medical scans, I hope Orbelín takes his place against T&T He's the only other midfielder in the squad with enough vision and long range passing as El Káiser de Zamora. Molina and Dueñas are meh... Reporte médico: Rafael Márquez ➡️ https://t.co/n36io78qn9 pic.twitter.com/Jd1wWEYixh— Atlas FC (@AtlasFC) March 25, 2017
Dude seriously why is it that our players are so injury prone???? I like to wonder if this type of things happen with say...............The Turkish team, Paraguay, South Korea..............or is it just the typical Mexican (made out of glass) team...? Hmmm.....
maybe the players over do it or have alittle too much fun during the break, they look like they are all buddies on the team so they are probably trying too hard to impress each other
So in other words its a Mexican thing................very strange how it does'nt happen with the Turks, Italians, Koreans, Iranians, Germans, English, Ivorians, hell Albanians........its just a Mexican thing, really incredible, unfortunately.
Really? It's just subjective. The US has like 4 players injured now and so has Argentina. It's like any team. When was the last time we had key players miss a World Cup by injury like Colombia or many euro teams? Montes and Medina last time and none were key. Denigris and Sabah in 2010? Neither key. This isn't unique to Mexico.
I honestly think Chapito in Brazil 2014 could've been key. And I definitely think Sabah and De Nigris would've been better than Guille, albeit not key. Medina, though? I almost want to thank the heavens that he got injured, because Gallito had a monster World Cup.
None of those players were key starters at the time except maybe Montes and that was a big if. He stunk against Nigeria and I think would've stunk in Brazil too. He's a talented Liga MX player but too slow for the international game.
He didn't have a good day against Nigeria, but he was having a monster game against Ecuador, so I think by the World Cup, he would've been ready. Unfortunately, he never recovered after that injury. And the worse thing was, it was his own recklessness that caused it.
Meh, I don't agree. I think he's level after the injury was as good as speed never was his strong suit. He's good for Liga MX level but hasn't shown it in the INT level where you need to be fast mentally that he is, IMO.
Agree to disagree then. However, even if he were to get back into that stellar form, there's so many prospects for his position now.
We can disagree whether he was going to be good or not but the fact there is a debate shows he wasn't a guy who was an unquestionable star for the WC. A bunch of those injuries happen before a WC all the time and Mexico has been lucky to not have one in a long time while a lot of other teams have it happen to them. My point is that Mexico isn't unique in the injuries department.
I thought it was a debate about those players being key or not. Wasn't he one of Piojo's starters up until that point?
