watched an hour of it last night, looking to finish the other hour tonight...what are everyone's thoughts on the premiere?
Pretty good so far, and they finally have at least one hero actually dressing up and fighting crime superhero-style (or at least he did... we'll see if that's continued on). Also, the scenario in Tokyo was particularly interesting. -G
Agreed, I know the superhero-tights looks/seems stupid but this show has never had uniform wearing superheroes, and it needed it. I thought it was pretty good. I agree with most people, after season 1 the show went down hill, but it wasn't that bad. I watched all 5 seasons. I think season 2 got nuked by the Writers Guild strike of that year and the show never recovered. Is it me or is Chuck and his GF just too good of shots?
finished the entire first episode... pretty good first episode, curious to see how all of the characters will tie into each other...
Of course! And as with the original series, all the seemingly-separate story threads are now coming together. -G
Yep, the last few episodes have been great as they've had a much faster pace to them and the stories have began to come together. I don't care too much about the Katana girl story though.
Ironically, the Katana girl story was one of the more interesting ones early on in the season, but she apparently ceased to exist once Hiro was rescued. The only story thread that still needs to be woven into the others is the East Los Angeles one, though I suspect that'll happen within the next 1-2 episodes. -G
I was okay with everything until last week's eps where we learn Peter Pan was going to save the world, went to Paris and learned from a comic who his inner hero was. What? Chuck un-dying and running into Peter Pan's long last sister and/or girlfriend didn't help. Man this series went downhill fast. Kring hasn't learned jack squat on why Heroes failed the first time around. Too bad.
I recorded it but haven't had time to see it yet. Hopefully either tonight or sometime during this coming weekend. -G
I watched the second season and there was a lot of stuff that made me cringe because it was awful but I still watched. At times I thought that this should have been on the Syfy network.
