today Ms Pizzuti tweeted that she and John had a great time at the Camp Nou watching Barcelona Ok, have at it. What does that mean?
hard to say ....but .... OK, I'll go out on a limb and speculate that it means that the two of them went to the Nou Camp, watched Barcelona and enjoyed it. what do you think it means, bird?
actually barca played like crap today (again!) and barely got 3 points against a team Leganes I've frankly never heard of before - so I'm not sure what they'd have enjoyed so much.
You should see the great creativity on more English sites. Selling Coutinho and/or Klopp are the favorites
Barca execs came to Anfield last year to to see how they were able to rebuild the Main Stand without impacting attendance, so perhaps its was just an open invitation. Its funny, LFC fans complain our owners don't know anything about football and don't act like the big boys, but when they go and develop relationships with the big boys, questions get asked of their motivations. The more our execs hang out with the execs of other big clubs, the better IMO.
So Henry go to Camp Nou to ... negotiate the moves? The English media can be pigshit thick, sometimes.
Looks familier, we went in about 2010. Just trying to think how they could possibly get more people in there. You need oxygen already up with the gods.
I was lower down in 1997 the first time I went Apologies for the pic quality- that was back in film days and I haven't scanned those in yet. That's a photo of the photo.
I wouldn't read that much into their trip to Barca. They probably have wanted to go see Barcelona play and took the chance. Can't blame them, it's on my list too.
Bellamy sure as hell ripped Barcelona a new arse-hole that night.... Pity Rafa didn't have the speculative sense to realize that the same guy needed to be on the field a few games later in the final instad of the 6'7" guy. Then we might have won the darned thing.....
It's also been 15 years since the brutal awfulness of our previous to that visit there, where Le Spoofer's rancid footballing mentality made me nearly want to vomit watching my own team ... I don't miss that ................
That's Benitez in nutshell. Overthinking things; sometimes it worked but, as in the 08/09 season, it just left us short.
Yep - short by a nose was indeed the key. You could check with Sam, Delaynomo and Speke to see if maybe I may have mentioned this kind of idea previously on another board ...... Still Rafa gave us some great stuff too..... ( for me in that 08/09 case the overthinking of it was having hard trier and crowd favourite Dirk as a wideman when he wasn't going to get in up front with Gerrard playing up there to accommodate Masch/Xabi; this netherworld lunacy against weak teams who didn;'t ahve a hope of overrunning our midfield, whilst one of Yossi or riera sat staring at the field - two guys who really could use much quicker first touch control and quicker thought to get the ball moving quickly to the marauding Gerrard and Torres.... That should have been enough of a key to beat those teams we drew with at anfield that season. Even with those line-ups if he had switched Gerrard and Kuyt's positions it might have paid dividends. Gerrard can be brilliant anywhere and Kuyt was a top class striker. oh well.... Getting rid of a proven goalscorer in Keane in mid season wasn;t the cleverest either...
