Yeah, but I think the minimum required is 7, at least that what they said on that E60 report about Blatter being corrupted and the Qatar world cup.

I think by that WC they won't make countries build so many stadiums or the infustructure as the last few WCs, Olympics and Eurocups have made ghost towns and stadiums.

Unless only 7-10 countries host every WC they will have to be more lient on smaller countries.

Smaller stadiums and less location. Isn't most the money made off TV revenue any way?

Cali has 2 stadiums how far apart are they. Can't they be a host city for 2 groups?

Pascual guerrero to palmaseca are like 30-45 minutes car drive between the two stadiums I think maybe less if you are very lucky and on a motorcycle lol

We should be hosting the Copa America after the Brazil one but Ecuador is. It is a little before the WC 2026. Do you think we skipped hosting because we want the WC?

I think it has more to do with sequential order and waiting our turn. In 91 Chile hosted then Ecuador hosted in 93.
Colombia hosted in 2001 so Ecuador deserves to get it before us based on that.

It's gonna be somewhat tough, but I say that we have a decent chance winning considering that Mexico has already hosted the world cup 3 times for example..

The country can't even' keep the area from Choco all the way to Bolivar safe. That includes Monteria, Sincelejo, and other cities in northern Colombia.

The world cup will never be in Colombia.

Honest question here, was there any reports of major violence or crime to tourists during the Sub 20 World cup in 2011? I don't remember anything major but I was not really following the news in that regard either.

That World Cup was the most successful attended Youth World Cup in history with 25.000 people per match.
I know youth World Cups are way different when it comes to infrastructure, security, influx of visiting fans, and preparations but that is still very impressive.

I tend to lean towards the direction that Colombia will not ever get it, but I still have hope they do.

Guys, we're safer than Mexico and Brazil...I mean, give us SOME credit. There are a lot more bad areas in the US when using size comparison.

Besides theres mutually peace when it came to the U20 World Cup we hosted even after we were knocked out. We've come a long way and I am sure that by the time we reach 2026, we'll continue to impress.a
