    Profile of FC Zurich
    Website: www.fcz.ch
    Canton: Zurich
    Founded: 1896
    Silverware: 9 Championships, 6 Cuptitles
International Honors: twice in Champions League semi-final
    Stadium: Letzigrund (cap: 19,400)
    Current place in standings: 5th

FCZ is known as "the eternal second" in the city of Zurich and is the hated rival of Grasshoppers Zurich. Traditionally, FCZ is known as "the people's club." I guess they need that title to make themselves feel better :D

Little historical sidenote: FCZ's first captain (Hans Gamper) was the founder of FC Barcelona.

A big "autsch" for FCSG. This is the 3rd consecutive defeat. Looks like scoring-machine Alhassane Keita didn't have mercy once again.

I have to give FCZ props. They really got themselves a good forward this season. Only 19, Guinean Keita has already scored 9 goals in 12 rounds. I had the pleasure of seeing this player live this summer, when I attended a UI-Cup game between FCZ and Aston Villa. Keita was a threat all game long and scored the 1st goal in a 2-0 victory. This player is destined to make it in one of the big leagues. You heard it here first.

But back to FCSG and Frankie Hejduk. From what I could gather, Hejduk had a subpar game. Coach Gerard Castella is getting a lot of heat for putting Frankie on the left side and not on the right side where Frankie usually plays. It looks like Castella won't be around for much longer. The press is asking for his departure...

And somehow Arena was able to get away with this at the WC...
