I don't care about this current discussion but there's one thing I know, if Mexico had Vela playing at his peak with RS, Giovani at his best at Villareal and Hernandez at United with the NT, Mexico would have an attacking talent that most NT would have trouble containing.

Vela had a good career up until he had the knee injury in late 2014. He came back fat looking after that injury around April of 2015 and had a terrible gold cup that summer and after that he stopped playing consistently with Real Sociedad due to constant pain on his knee up until now. I don’t think it was his lack of ambition, but that knee injury that has caused him to go through a big decline. He looks in better shape than his prime days, yet just doesn’t have that explosiveness anymore where he could get by defenders.
