Sociedad beat Depor 5-0 today. Hector will have to wait until next Saturday against Real Madrid for his first possible minutes.

It always gets overlooked, the cheech benched Berbatov, the epl's leading goal scorer at the time, started the final, if that's not an important piece... short lived yes, and even as a sub was incredibly important.

....good luck to our boy, he'll do well.

He is in RS-B, at least that's what I saw. If he actually makes it to the 1st team we can add him.

They could really use him right now. Down 4-0 just 37 minutes in.

Hector started today on the 2-2 tie vs FC Salzburg and was subbed out at min 76. He did a pretty good job from what I got to watch, but did pick up a yellow. I imagine the card was the reason he was subbed out.

He tracked back really well and the team felt pretty safe while he was in. He also took command of the defence from what I watched. Again, I only watched part of the game.

Salzburg's goal to tie the game came in injury time, through the side what Moreno was on when he was in. I like to think they would have kept the W, if he hadn't been subbed out due the the yellow.

Maybe our players just adapt better to Spanish League play. Nothing strange about that. There's plenty of examples of great Spanish League players not adapting to Premier League style.

Sisniega had surgery on his shoulder recently... It appears Real Sociedad medical staff opted for a medical treatment instead of having him undergo surgery...

Vela was known was one of the best players at the time during his peak. I would put that above anything

You'll place that above Hernández's accomplishments of playing for 2 of the 3 greatest clubs in the history of the sport?. Lol.

Vela wasn't even a top 10 player in his "peak"... (You mean more like his mood of playing good whenever he felt like it)

He was nominated best striker ahead of messi in his peak. [IMG]

As an individual Vela was more impressive. Managers like Moyes, Arsene etc etc said he was one of the best of the world. Most of the managers that had Hernandez and Vela in their team rated Vela much much higher.
