If he's an 01 he's like 14 years old, is it common for a kid this young to play for a U17 team in Mexico? If not, I volunteer to drive the hype train. CHOO CHOO.

 

*Play* may be a bit of a stretch. I don't see him mentioned in the Santos English feed at all recently, so he may have been more of an extra body for the tournament. I don't see him in any of the U17 starting lineups, though I didn't look too hard. It's a good sign, but the train should probably stay in the station.

He only made one appearance for the U17s, playing a grand total of 3 minutes. He wasn't even on the bench for the playoffs - maybe he was just training with the U17s.

Hector Holguin is a keeper. If my memory serves me correctly he's from metro El Paso/Ciudad Juarez.

In the Apertura, he ended up starting 10 games for the U15 team and 5 for the U17 team. He played an additional two games in the U15 playoffs.
