To be honest, I always wondered why starting in 2014, Porto all of a sudden started signing a bunch Mexican prospects, Hererra, Corona, Layun, Reyes, Govea, Joao Malek. Those signings were particularly surprising because Porto and the Portuguese league traditionally has done most of its scouting for young talents in Brazil/South America, but never in Mexico. Sounds to me that those players were "placed" at Porto as part an untold deal.
