Looks to me that Porto is trying to make Jesus corona a Marcelo type player So in my opinion this is very beneficial for Mexico and for his career because there is definitely a need for attacking mine did fall back
Corona will never play Right Back for Mexico. Like I stated earlier, the needs of FC Porto at right back are much different than the needs of the Mexican National Team at right back. Even then, he seems to be playing more of a wingback role with FC Porto than a RB from the little I've seen. That could certainly be an option for the Mexican National Team as he is a player that could fully take advantage of the length and width of the pitch from that position.
I'm watching the Porto game and these commentators are talking up a storm about layun. Like literally a couple of mins of just layun. I can't understand everything but maybe our friend CDpuntadelgada heard it. I thought towards the end Layun wasn't favored much.
Layun’s work rate and his assists speak for themselve He should of never gone he had pace, stamina and leadership qualities. He was just defensively prone to mistakes but what can you expect when he is a LWB For Layun to thrive he needs a world class CB next to him and Porto as soon as they have anything sclose to world class they are sold

The problem with stats is that they don't take errors into consideration, only the positive. Though he had quite a few assists under his belt, Layun had some defensive approximations which ended up hurting Porto ( a bit like Corona). Alex Telles is a much more thorough player and I wouldn't be surprise to see a big fish signing him. Layun on the other hand has practically disappeared at a club playing to avoid relegation.
Today, Herrera played the entire game and Corona was subbed out in the 90th minute in Porto's 1-0 victory over Aves. Porto leads the Primeira Liga with 39 points, followed by Sporting with 34.
