If Portugal and the Netherlands have mid-level leagues, how many of the 25 European leagues are better?
the other dude was, though who has a better career to date? i think guardado has, and until herrera does something to suggest his career is/was better, he'll stay looking up to guardado for me.
I'm trying to say that herrera is good enough to be a starter at clubs such as porto, benfica, valencia, dortmund etc. I dont think he could make it at a liverpool, barcelona or real madrid. Those teams demand too much consistency tbh.
Both Herrera and Guardado are about that level, mid-tier players at high level leagues. That probably goes for all of the best players we've had in Mexico, except for Hugo, Rafa, and maybe (hopefully) Lozano. This is single biggest reason for our level in international competitions.
Pardo > Guardado > HH js ... Pardo was captain, plus won a Bundesliga tittle ... bigger league than Portugal and Holland ...
Brahimi reminds me of Urretaviscaya with Pachuca for his rare brilliant moments that are overshadowed by keeping the ball too long and running into 3 defenders 95% of the time.
at least Herrera was able to secure a spot in a high mid level team throughout his career in europe. can't say that about most recent mexican players
