The CGI did kind of have an "uncanny valley" effect to it (which showrunner Peter M. Lenkov himself somewhat admitted to recently), but the overall scene was fine and the overall episode was pretty good.

Interestingly, Lenkov revealed that the scene was originally written years ago to eventually be used as the very last scene of the series, but since it thankfully appears that the series' end won't come as soon as he originally thought, he decided to include that scene in this season's premiere instead.

It unfortunately seems that the episode's main criminal has taken the secret of how he became such a world-champion parkour athlete to his grave, though it turns out that the actor playing him actually is a world parkour champion.

In any case, I can't wait for next week's episode.

And don't forget that the series' 150th episode (among other things) is scheduled to air about a third of the way into this season. :)

The last episode where McGarrett and the profiler were kidnapped I thought was the best episode of the season. I really hope they eventually catch that serial killing *****.

I just finished watching the episode off of my HD-DVR. :)

Yikes... the 5-0 team now has her and Michelle Shiyoma still on the loose and undoubtedly plotting some kind of revenge at some point down the road.

Both the profiler and the serial killer returned in last Friday's episode (which I finally had the time to watch yesterday).

Word has it that it'll likely be found in this coming Friday's episode.

The Friday, March 10th episode of MacGyver will be a crossover episode with Hawaii Five-0.

Interestingly, MacGyver's Phoenix Foundation was briefly mentioned in last Friday's episode. :)

The past week has been so hectic for me that I forgot to mention here that the season finale aired this last Friday. :(

Fortunately for me, my HD-DVR didn't forget and recorded it. I just finished watching it and now can't wait for next season!

That does seem to be Kono's main mission now, though it's hard to say if she was flying to Carson City, Nevada on her own accord or as a member of 5-0 (if the former, does that mean that she's leaving the show? :().

It's also too bad about Steve McGarrett revealing that he does have radiation poisoning from the dirty bomb from earlier in the season after all. :( There were recent rumors of Alex O'Loughlin (who plays McGarrett) planning on leaving after next season due to the physical toll his body has taken on the series over the years. Hopefully they're not true, though would the radiation poisoning be a credible reason for Steve to retire early if it came to that?
