It's Bleacher Report, that's what you'd expect. It's amazing some other major news outlets actually link their stories to their site sometimes (cough cough CNN).

On another note, I was asked in the rivalry thread what are our 5 greatest WC strikers. I said:

    1. Ronaldo
    2. Romario
    3. Vava'
    4. Leonidas
    5. Careca

Mind you I am not counting Pele' or other AMs as strikers. What do you think ?

That list is ridiculous and I expect nothing less from bleacher report. I'm with Celito that the likes of Pele isn't a striker.

Ademir or Careca are interchangeable for top 5.

First I´d like to agree that the list is partly ridiculous
mainly due to that Zico is completely left out
and since it is not only considdering WC.
My definition of striker is simply the ability to score goals
so I definately include the great scorer that Pele was.

A number of years ago I tried to make a list, to rate the Brasilian
goalscorers through the different eras from 20s to 00s
I also tried to sum up this to an all-time list.
but I must say it is very difficult to compare players from different eras,
    especially the early times,
and individuals in a team sport like football.
I can show You the list but I must say that when I watched it now
I started thinking of revising it, possibly lowering Leonidas and Ademir slightly.

    1. Pelé
    2. Leonidas
    3. Ademir
    4. Romario
    5. Ronaldo
    6. Friedenreich
    7. Quarentinha
    8. Feiticio
    9. Teleco
    10.Zico
    11-20
    Vava
    Reinaldo
    Tostao
    Coutinho
    Careca
    Nilo Braga
    Pirilo
    Carvalho Leite
    Heleno Freitas
    Altafini

I can agree with the list of Celito, when considdering WC and WC playoffs
when comparing Romario and Ronaldo, I would always put Romario ahead
as pure striker, skills in area , and his stats show this but when it comes to importance
of scoring in wc playoffs and Romario´s lazyness in other aspects of game
I can agree with Ronaldo ahead.

By the way, I think this thread should be moved into the Selecao history one.
